Daniel Carawan, a regular contributor to the Richmond Progressive Examiner, is a master's student at Virginia Tech majoring in political science. A former aspirant to public office, Daniel has instead focused on helping others through his writings on issues of political, social, and economic importance. After Daniel receives his master's degree in political science, he plans on working towards his doctorate in political science and eventually teaching. Daniel can be reached at dcarawan@vt.edu.
