Cristin Milioti '30 Rock' scene stealer - she did the same in the 'Sopranos'

Cristin Milioti in “30 Rock” was a scene stealer and this morning the online world is buzzing with kudos about the actress’s “30 Rock” performance.

“30 Rock” saw Cristin Milioti out do even Alec Baldwin with his old sea captain uniform. The blond pony tailed answer to “TGS” “does not hate women hire,” really became the star of this episode as soon as she stepped into the scene.

Liz hired Abby, Cristin Milioti, to prove Jack wrong about his theory that all women are “genetically predisposed to being jealous of one another.”

Where have we seen Cristin Milioti before? She was part of the mob family, actually a mob princess on the HBO show “Soprano’s.” Milioti appeared in three episodes a with very short on screen exposure. She played the grumpy daughter of John Sacrimoni, who is the second in command to the New York Mob Boss.

Cristin Milioti was ‘Catherine Sacrimoni’ in three “Sopranos” episodes in two different seasons.  She appeared in one episode in 2007 and two episodes in 2006. Her scenes were small, but what she said was memorable. Milioti had a grumpy wise crack about the family and their preoccupation with food while discussing the wedding plans of her much overweight sister as she sat with her obese mother while visiting her father in prison. She was the hightlight of that scene too, with that one line in the "Sopranos."

Connecticut fans of New York theater may remember Cristin Milioti last year in “That Face” at the Manhattan Theater Club. She played one of the siblings in that show. Going into the Big Apple for dinner and a show has been a tradition for many Connecticut residents throughout the decades. Just over Connecticut’s border lies a world of the arts, entertainment, and culture that is less than an hours drive from many locations in Southern Connecticut.
