CNN Money’s Ali Velshi recently announced on his timeslot that he wants President Barack Obama to continue to make job creation a top priority of his Administration – and to mention the 99ers in his 2011 State of the Union address. In a letter titled to the President, “Dear Mr. President, fix this mess”, Velshi makes mention of the turnaround of the stock market and how frustrating it must be to be the President and not be able to create jobs directly. Velshi mentions that those jobs must be created by private sector business investors.
Echoing the same sentiment is political strategist, James Carville. Mr. Carville is famous for assisting President Clinton with a single sentence: “It’s the economy, stupid”. When asked this evening on CNN what sentence he would sum up that Barack Obama’s State of the Union address tomorrow, Carville’s response was, “it’s jobs, stupid”. Carville went on to say that anything the President would say tomorrow at his scheduled 9PM EST address to the nation would be “an utter waste of time” if it did not detail a plan to bolster job creation.
The nation continues to have very high unemployment despite optimistic news of some private sector job growth and there is a very anxious electorate waiting to hear how the President plans to move forward creating jobs and spurring economic growth.
More details on this story and coverage of the State of the Union address soon.

All 99ers, change your party affiliation to non-partisan. For an explanation of why this will work go to From the Trenches World Report and read the New Strategies page. We can make a difference.
Job creation will not happen tomorrow, no matter how hard POTUS tries. Long-term unemployed ghosts (AKA 99ers) need some means of support ,and Tier V is what they need now. They are cold, hungry, and sick with no means of support. Their families and friends have done all they could, now it is time for the govt to help these tax-paying citizens until they can find a job. The unemployment numbers have gone down, but that is because so many people (about 20 million) are ALREADY unemployed, and 7 million of them are destitute.
