Congressman - An Obama Shell Game?
Amid the fanfare of Barack Obama's much touted military withdraw of the remaining members of the US Armed Forces from Iraq, is the dark cloud of a new flood of Americans into the Middle Eastern nation.
CNN is reporting that Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has raised concerns that as Americans answerable to the Secretary of Defense leave Iraq, thousands of other Americans answerable to the Secretary of State will fill the vacuum;
"The Obama administration is about to see a major surge of contractors there in Iraq –17,000 contractors, 5,500 private security contractors - as the military goes away.Are we just playing a little bit of a shell game here?"
One Step Across The Border...
As previously reported, an "untold number" of American troops are slated to deploy to neighboring Kuwait.
As reprted by the NY Times, the number is expected to be "in the thousands."
Simultaneously, the Persian Gulf-based US Navy's 5th Fleet "is considering sending more naval warships through international waters in the region."

In regards to the thousands of contractors Iraq-bound, CNN is reporting;
"We are very, very worried," Dov Zakheim told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.Zakheim and other members of the Commission on Wartime Contracting said they were concerned that as many as 17,000 contractors will arrive, raising questions about cost, liability and the ability of the State Department to supervise them.
