Phase 4, Round 4
This is it! The last week of the contest is here and in a few short days we will know who Arizona's Cutest Pug is! Will it be the leader, Desi Kully, who currently holds 3,609 votes? Or will the black little pug with a campaigning spirit, Nugget, who only holds 1,135 votes be it?
These two pugs have beaten out 112 other pugs to reach the final two! The contest has surpassed their goal of $20,000 by $324 and voting is not yet complete! The winner will be announced this Sunday, the 5th, at noon and will be updated on the Arizona Pug Rescue website later the same day. You can also subscribe at the top of this page to receive the news by email.
If you'd like to vote for these 2 adorable pugs, it's only a $1 and the proceeds go to support APARN's foster pugs. The local charity takes in pugs from all over Arizona provides them health care, homes (foster and forever), and a second chance at life. The health care that these pugs require is often quite expensive.
Reader's poll
Last weeks reader's poll was "Which two pugs will go head to head?" The readers were right on with 100% of the vote going to Nugget and Desi!

Campaigning
Nugget has continued her campaigning throughout the week. She has even started a promotion for anyone that votes $10 for her will be entered to win a $25 PetSmart card. Don't count out Desi Kully yet though! This fawn pug has had a steady stream of high yielding vote weeks throughout the contest. Here are some quotes from Nugget this week:
"Still trying to decide what to wear for my calendar photo! Don't forget, I just need about 3000 votes to win! $1 from 3000 people!"
"Okay, everyone, we are coming down to the wire! If you haven't voted for me yet, now it the time to do it! Tomorrow is the last day of the Cutest Pug Contest voting. I need your $1, so put that donut down and vote for me! Thank you!"
"Don't forget, everyone who votes at least $10 for me this week in APARN's Cutest Pug contest, gets entered into a drawing for a $25 Petsmart gift card (courtesy of my foster mom, so no, it doesn't come out of my allowance or your votes!). You know you want to vote for me....so just do it!"
