Fluoride in dog food found to cause cancer

The Environmental Working Group was commissioned to do an independent laboratory test of popular dog foods. The study found each major national brands of all puppy and adult dog food contain high levels of fluoride. The Environmental Protection Agency has found that high levels of fluoride are associated with bone cancer in young boys in a study done by scientists at Harvard University. In all the brands of dog food tested all were found to contain bone meal and animal byproducts. It is believed that these ingredients are the source of fluoride contamination.

There has been no research done to date to determine if fluoride is safe for dogs. In humans excessive fluoride is said to cause weak bones and mottled teeth. Weakened bones can lead to more incidents of fractures. Reproductive and other biological disorders including bone cancer are associated with high fluoride consumption.

The ingredients that are added to dog food contain a mix of bone meal and animal byproducts which are cooked with steam, then tried and mashed and added to the dog food as cheap filler. Some fluoride comes from the tap water that is used to manufacture the pet food.

Fluoride is a mineral found in the Earth's crust. Most Americans and their pets come in contact with fluoridated water because it is added to most city water sources to help prevent tooth decay. Once ingested fluoride will accumulate in the bones.

Several months ago, Gibson the dog, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma's cancer. More than 8000 osteosarcoma cases are reported in the US each year. There are probably many more cases that are not confirmed. Researchers shown that approximately 10% more cases of osteosarcomas occur in dogs.

If your dog is large and drinks a lot of water and you feed it a dog food that has fluoride in it chances are your dog is susceptible to consuming more fluoride than is healthy for the dog's normal growth. A smaller dog is less susceptible to fluoride contamination. This is true with all breeds of dogs.

Pet food products receive little government standards regulations. All Americans have the right to expect safe food for their pets. To safeguard the health of your pets and protect them from excessive fluoride exposure you can purchase pet food that does not contain bone meal or other animal byproducts.

Cancer or not, that much fluoride will cause skeletal fluorosis.

    Fluoride is a poision.
Why has 98% of Europe outlawed the fluoridation of municipal water supplies? Answer, they know that hydrofluoric acid (Fluoride) is a powerful neurotoxin which also destroys enzymes needed for proper digestion, among other things. Why has the US continues to dump this toxic waste into our water supplies? Money. To dispose of what we call fluoride would cost industry tens of billions of dollars a year. Educate yourself and your family. Your pets food, your toothpaste and especially drinking water should not contain any fluoride. Drink bottled spring water. My theory is that there is such a prevalence of bone fractures and osteoporosis in old people, is because of a lifetime of consuming fluoridated water.

Say no to Artificial Water Fluoridation (AWF), anywhere and everywhere...you and yours, including all of your beloved pets, will all be better off, for it.

See this very informative article via the link below; it relates to AWF and, the obvious health concerns associated with this dumb idea.
