- To be yourself and always watch your health.
- To keep your chin high no matter what people say about you.
- Don't do ANYTHING stupid to get attention. There are many things far worse than feeling left out or ignored.
- I would have stayed in school, instead of hanging with the wrong crowd thinking that was cool. Listen to the positive people.
- Spend as much time with those you love as you can, you can't get that time back once it's gone.
Yes, there are many more thoughts for today's teen girls. Being a teenager in today's society of peer pressure is not easy. Whether it is hanging out with the cool crowd or having the trendy clothes, you feel as if you are always being judged.
Dove Movement for Self-Esteem is getting into full swing. With the help of the Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc. and Girls Scouts, Dove is marching out a campaign to help teen girls have a brighter future and step into their own skin by believing in themselves.

To take in life now and not wish to be older. Older comes with more responsibilities that at 13 we don't realize.
When I was 13 I wish I realized that my father was so smart, but how could I when I already new everything and had all the answers - at age 23, my father was so much smarter and I knew he had more answers hidden away. Makes one want to be the "constant learner"
Good question to post to all parents- should engender an interesting conversation with your 13 year old (and perhaps their peer group)
I wish I had given my mom more credit for knowing and experiencing so much more. I wish I would have trusted her more and followed her knowledge because I think I would not have taken so much time to get to the place I am now. Being "cool" or having the material things aren't what matters, it's listening to your elders and learning from their mistakes and the wealth of knowledge they have from their time in history is so much more important!
