As many of us have followed this story since it hit the news on March 17th, it is nothing short of a miracle to watch 15 year-old Josie Lou Ratley at home recovering. After nearly being beaten to death by Wayne Treacy, Josie survived three brain surgeries and extensive rehabilitation, which is still continuing.
Today a four minute video was released by her family, Josie is first seen pulling a set of alphabet building blocks out of a gift bag to which says "I like it" when her mother Hilda Gotay asks her what she thinks. Watch here.

As Josie Lou Ratley is at home recovering, Wayne Treacy, although is being tried as an adult, is in Broward County Juvenile Detention Center. His accomplice, 13 year-old Kayla Manson will be prosecuted as a juvenile to a charge of principal to attempted murder.
