Whitley Strieber: My New Book is Being Murdered! Drama Queens in Ufology.

Whitley Strieber has come forth regarding his new book Solving the Communion Enigma, making the statement that it is being murdered. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is Norman Bates literally stabbing a book in the shower repeatedly. No, Whitley, your book is not being murdered, and a global conspiracy is not taking place to keep your book from the public by government agents. Lordy, lordy... The only thing being murdered is the book publishing industry, by electronic readers like Kindle and IPAD and NOOK. I don't know if you've ever noticed before but, Whitley, you're not Stephen King. Bookstores aren't going to order giant display sets of your book about aliens during a worldwide financial apocalypse. Good ploy, though, to draw attention to your book. Bravo! Bravo!

Long ago, I was told by an inside source that Strieber denounced his alien books to his old publisher, saying none if it was real. Then, a long time passed before he wrote another one. There was therefore much speculation that none of it is real, and that Whitley is a Carlos Castenada type. I believe some of it is real, but I can't really tell you which is truth and which is not because I wasn't there. Will the rest of Ufology catch unto this sentiment? I received a review copy of Solving the Communion Enigma, and the book is good. It seems to be getting pretty good reviews but, obviously, needs more sales. So Whitley had to come forth with a shallow tale of it being suppressed, which even I can see through as being a publicity stunt of outlandish proportions. Like Ufology needs anymore circus acts (the latest being the Webre wars regarding Basiago, Stillings and that whole zoo crew). Now, of course, the government is trying to suppress Whitley's book because people can't find it in their local peepaw town bookstores. Bookstores, I might add, that are being hit hard by the economic fall and collapse of our nation.

Have you ever been to the New Age section in a book store to look for UFO and Alien books, Whitley? There usually aren't but a few copies of any book there about that subject. You wanna know why? Because not that many people give a ratt's gooch about aliens, except all us kooks and experiencers and publicity mongoloids who have taken the boat down the sci-fi river, never to return from Neverland. Perhaps many ufologists are sincere at first, but soon comes the sell-out, where they become sad circus clowns, making up stories to get more book sales. Or, in today's market, they make up time-traveling Mars dinosaur stories for more website clicks and deniros. Whitley has a worthwhile book in the Communion series, which is to be respected; however, his attitude toward others in the field is not. Lashing out at critics in the media only shows a lack of confidence in one's material. Only doing shows that bring in the bucks is understandable, but why do shows with hosts who continually berate researchers who do not believe in ETs? Why not take a stand on shows like Coast to Coast AM, who peddle paranoia and regularly use obvious disinfo agents, like Hoagland, Morton, and Bielek as science advisors? We see through these schemes.

It's good to see another book in the Communion series, but let "word of mouth" spread its qualities, instead of adding conspiracy theories and Psycho shower scenes. The book is available on Amazon.com. According to Whitley's article on his site, unknowncountry.com, his book is being murdered. How convienent that the government agents didn't get to Amazon.com. And do the MIB knock on the doors of the many snake-oil salesmen peddling the ET Thesis? Of course not. The MIB only go after those who believe the saucers are from Earth. I can hear the violin strings playing now in the background, as Whitley sheds crocodile tears. Just my two nickels from the straitjacket's folds. Take it or leave it. Over and out.
