CSC Names Charles H. Cantus Vice President of Government Relations

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (Map) - FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) has named Charles H. Cantus vice president of Government Relations for its North American Public Sector (NPS) line of business. Cantus succeeds Lance Swann, who has announced his retirement after a 33-year career with the company.

In this position, Cantus will be responsible for interfacing with the U.S. government, including Congress, the executive branch and federal agencies on issues that are important to CSC and its clients. He reports to Jose Jimenez, president of NPS' Strategy and Development group.

Before joining CSC, Cantus served as vice president and managing director of Government Relations at BearingPoint, Inc. He was responsible for the company's multi-faceted government relations organization, supporting business development initiatives and managing reputational issues. Previously, Cantus served as a senior executive with the Professional Services Council where he had oversight of the organization's lobbying presence for the $233 billion federal professional and technical services industry.

Cantus has worked in two Presidential administrations, on Capitol Hill and for several cabinet secretaries. He has also served as a regional representative in a presidential campaign and represented Fortune 500 corporations. Cantus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
