Charles is a freelance writer who lives in the Sierra, halfway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. The El Dorado National Forest is his back yard. He is a retired teacher. He and his wife hike, snow shoe, cross country ski, kayak, ride mountain bikes and road bikes. They love to wander aimlessly looking for new places and adventures.
