Airbrushed vs. Reality:image google
On the recent cover of Self magazine Kelly Clarkson looked extremely thin which had people claiming an AIRBRUSHED photo. The singer herself was even shocked by her own image, saying she barely recognized herself.
Clarkson has been the focal point recently when it comes to weight gain. She has openly addressed this controversy admitting her shock of the photos. The editor of Self claims that their decision to airbrush was to provide an image of the singer looking her “best”.
Kelly has said "The whole airbrushing thing has gone crazy. I was like, 'Who is that on the cover of the magazine?' They were obviously not happy with what I look like. I'm not being mean about myself, but I just found it funny. I think it's just one of those things that people have got so used to doing that they don't even think twice about it."

I think that the term you (and Self Magazine) are looking for is "photoshopped." Airbrushing was dead before Clarkson even tried out for AI.
I think Kelly is beautiful just the way she is. Shame that they photoshopped it. I bought the magazine because I respect and admire Kelly. She is very inspiring, and I am happy they put her on the cover.
