When I first starting writing my views on American politics, I was somewhat shocked that it wasn't long before many who read my articles responded that I was obviously a racist. This was based solely on my political views. Part of my surprise at this was that I grew up poor in a small farming community. I was raised by a single mother and had known what it meant to get government assistance. And lastly, and maybe most importantly, I was indeed black myself. What really threw me what that most of those labeling me a racist were actually white. Part of me simply couldn't make the connect, but another part of me realized this race baiting had become an effective weapon. It routinely silenced those who would speak out against the progressives and liberals. So successful had this card been played that it somehow was expected to supercede proof or reason. There also seemed to be no shame in using such tactics.
I'd like to say now that I do support another black man for the presidency and that this should absolve me of all claims of racism. Unfortunately I am supporting Herman Cain and he too has been labeled similarly, I suppose that would suggest that my support of him only further proves the previous claims against me. Herman Cain, or the Hermanator as he's often referred to, would be the first to defend me and other conservatives regardless of their color. I hate to invoke MLK as so many seem to do these days, but for a change I can honestly say that while I don't believe people are completely color blind, Herman Cain is color insensitive, as MLK envisioned over 40 years ago. He does not see white or black or Hispanic faces, but Americans, all of whom will be subjected to the misery of the future that liberal policies have been driving us towards if we don't change directions.
The world is nearly ablaze and America is at a precipice. The Middle East has erupted into rebellion. Europe is mired in debt and unsustainable social policies, and China is poised to be a dominant power in the near future. It's time that Americans realize that we can no longer accept the short term bribery offered by liberalism. The future that has been borrowed against for the last four decades is here now and we can no longer afford to steal from our children - there is nothing left. Herman Cain is the type of leader that America needs now. There will be tough choices, but we can turn things around. He's proved that he's capable of being a game changer in business, and I'd bet he can do the same in politics. It's time that people started hearing the truth. It's time for the American people to stop accepting that our voice doesn't matter. The November elections proved that isn't the case. Now we need someone who can speak for us on national level. Is that man Herman Cain? That my friends is up to us, but there's not doubt he's up to the task
