Eisley announce spring 2012 headlining tour

Today (Dec. 14) Eisley announced they will release Deep Space, a new five-track EP, on February 14th, 2012. In support of Deep Space they will headline a spring 2012 North American tour supported by Christie DuPree and Tampa, FL-based band Marksmen. Eisley's 2012 Deep Space tour begins March 8 in Spokane, WA and concludes April 1 in Dallas, TX.

Deep Space was recorded in Eisley's hometown of Tyler, TX with engineer/mixer Andy Freeman. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Sherri DuPree-Bemis shares that the EP’s title track was inspired by the work of science fiction/fantasy author Ray Bradbury.

“He is one of my favorite writers of all time and consistently inspires me." She continues, "Outer space has always fascinated me and I wrote this about a couple leaving earth to live life in space, knowing they may never see earth again. I wanted it to build it musically so that you're very focused on the story and by the time it gets to the bridge, it literally feels like you're right there with them, feeling that mixture of excitement and sadness as you soar out of the atmosphere.”
