A large number of women suffer from the skin condition known as rosacea. Rosacea can happen to anyone at anytime, it is not specific to age or gender, though some skin types may be more prone to the daunting effect of rosacea.
Research and clinical studies suggest that several mineral makeup ingredients show promise for reducing the signs of rosacea. The benefits of mineral makeup ingredients have spanned multiple makeup review websites, forums, boards for some time. The minerals makeup information on these websites also propose that natural makeup ingredients are not always beneficial. This suggests that some mineral makeup brands' ingredients may pose threat to the skin, thus being the culprit to causing allergies, cystic acne as well as rosacea.
Organization websites including the Rosacea and Skin Cancer Foundations have mentioned the benefits of mineral foundation makeup use in several articles. The best mineral foundation makeup information can be located at websites such as WebMd where dermatologists provide clinical facts.
Mineral foundation user Joan Saunders says, “Mineral foundation has changed my life. I had rosacea and acne as a teenager and wasn’t expecting to have it as an adult. There I was at 32, pregnant with dermatologist tested rosacea and the ugly acne that came with it.
After reading website information from others that suffered from rosacea, I decided to try one of the mineral foundations recommended. Within 3 weeks my rosacea and acne were completely cleared up and my skin looked healthy. I had the glow everyone talks about during pregnancy. I would never go back to chemical cosmetics, nor do I trust any other mineral makeup brand. I don’t want rosacea or acne again.”
Mineral foundation is not a cure for rosacea, but it has over time proved to help most of those suffering from rosacea and other skin conditions.
The best mineral foundation for those suffering from rosacea is a bismuth oxychloride, biron nitride, mica, silk, and rice free formula.
Suggested Mineral Makeup Brands for Rosacea Sufferers:
- Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Foundation
- Colour ID Minerals Foundation Makeup
- Cory Cosmetics Mineral Foundation
- Luxury Minerals Makeup Foundation
Other mineral makeup brands may also be bismuth free. Always read the minerals makeup ingredient labeling on each website and on in-store mineral cosmetic labels.
The best advice for calming and treating rosacea is from a licensed dermatologist. Reading makeup boards and forums can be a wonderful way to see what has worked for others with rosacea. Cosmetics, skin care, and makeup news sites like those on Google also update consumers on the latest information on most skin care, cosmetics, and mineral makeup news.
Overall, mica and bismuth free mineral foundation makeup tops the list when it comes to helping aid in the disappearance of rosacea. Chemical free natural makeup and skin care seem to lend a helping hand for a healthier more youthful complexion.

Just the article I needed to pass on, but then I already knew mineral foundation is recommended for those with rosacea. I haven't tried Cory Cosmetics yet, but love your Colour ID minerals makeup.
Thanks for the article. I sometimes have a redness to my complexion and have found mineral makeup helps a great deal.

I was sworn to bare minerals and was excited to try their new matte, but I did not. They, Bare Minerals would not offer me the mineral makeup ingredient list, nor could I locate any contact information on any of their new domains. I am going with another brand Bare Minerals is just hiding things from the public as far as investing, and now their new products. Shame on you BE.
Thanks for posting us in your mineral makeup news article. Luxury Mineral Makeup at www.luxurymineralmakeup.com is under NEW management and we're holding a 20% OFF Mineral Makeup Sale until the new mineral makeup website is finished. Come see what's new.
I have been using mineral makeup from ..... and the mica in it was what my physician said could be causing my breakouts and bumps. I had enough acne in my teens, just that mineral make up was supposed to be good for the skin. I have read what wedmd site phyicians say and listed to my dr. and am now using a matte mineral foundation brand without bismut, or mica.
I thought the redness on my face was because of my age. I didn't realize I was causing it from using a mineral foundation with mica in it. I tried one of the drug store brands you recommended and no more redness, I am in love with Physicians formula but I am waiting for your Raesin Images samples to come so I can try them too. I am also going to try the Cory brand.
Great to hear Colleen! Let me know how the mineral foundation makeup brands you tired worked. I'm not all about my own Colour ID Minerals Makeup line. I'm all about women finding whichever makeup brand or mineral makeup brand products work for their skin. It's what Raesin Images (aka Raising Images) is all about. Helping women! And we can help each other by posting information about what works for our skin types :)
I know many women that have redness to their skin tones. Some of it's natural, so do make sure you have a Derm. verify it. Most of the time it's not rosacea, but facial redness caused from one of several things; bad makeup brands; bad skin care products; so always note what skin care or makeup products do to your skin. It will really help you determine what causes your skin's redness, so you can go without foundation :)
Great article finding it very useful. I'm just wondering though on the mica free foundations that just contain Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides, these must be nano- particle sized powders or they would be just far too heavy and chalky to use as foundation? There's no mention of this which is extremely worrying.
