This Saturday, local group Robinson Caruso will be celebrating the release of their first EP, Love Debt, at the Fine Line Music Cafe.
The group has been together since early in 2009, playing live shows around the Cities and building up a crowd of fans quite eager to hear their first official release.
On their Facebook page, the band's story begins in 1963 when Robinson Caruso was born at the age of 18. The story only grows more fascinating as it explains their creation myth and "millennial soul" sound. And if that isn't enough to get interested enough see them live, their videos (also posted to the Facebook page, as well as attached to this column) should more than suffice.
It's a tight, soul sound that definitely makes you want to get out of your seat. And when you see how many people are up on that stage (and you can't even see the whole band), you'll be even more intrigued.
Doors are at 8pm, show starts at 9pm, with guests Devine Collection and Urban Cadence. It's a 21+ show, with an $8 cover charge.
