What are your thoughts about the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas? Wikipedia.org communicates this song as a, “cumulative song, meaning that each verse is built on top of the previous verses. There are twelve verses, each describing a gift given by ‘my true love’ on one of the twelve days of Christmas” But, it is a bit crazy, can you imagine a room filled with Pipers piping, Maids-a-milking, Lords-a-leaping and so on?
Wikipedia.org explains, “The twelve days in the song are the twelve days starting Christmas Day, or in some traditions, the day after Christmas…[and goes until], the evening of the fifth of January, preceding Twelfth Day, the eve of the Epiphany, formerly the last day of the Christmas festivities and observed as a time of merrymaking."
This got me thinking about the 12 days after Christmas and how I can reinvent this classic to better serve us; us the givers of the world. People with big hearts who work so diligently to make sure the holiday is wonderful for those who surround us. Start your 12 days renewing in the vibe of self-care:
