Disney Frozen Elsa Bedroom Redecoration

See also

Today I finally finished the surprise redecoration of my daughter's room. As with any other six year old girl, she's OBSESSED with Disney's Frozen. However, she is absolutely in love with Elsa and her ice powers! So when we moved into our new house, her first request was to paint her room "Elsa colors." During a recent trip to Lowes for some much-needed home supplies, she was completely bored to tears so I diverted her attention by heading to the paint aisle to pick out "Frozen" blue color paint chips. For about a week she mulled over the colors and finally chose what she wanted to paint her room: Valspar's Pantone Ethereal Blue. She kept asking when we were going to paint her room, but I had a much more exciting plan in mind. I kept putting it off, even when she asked, making excuses about being too busy. But this week, while she was at her dad's, I gathered up some friends and completely redecorated her room by surprise!!! She comes back tomorrow morning, but here are the photos of her "Elsa Room!"

This is the look of the room as you walk in. The first thing you notice is my foster baby's crib and the fluffy mobile above it. So pretty!

Along this left side of the room is her closet, which has snowflake decals on it. I hung her Elsa dress (Halloween costume in progress). I also added a mirrored window (garage sale, $3), added snowflake decals and changed out to crystal knobs on her dresser, and put up some shelves with some special vases to match.

My daughter has a trundle bed. I put on blue sheets, a white fleece blanket, and found several fun pillows at thrift stores and garage sales. I put up a poster of Elsa with crystal push pins, put up a curtain rod with crystal finials, and added sheer curtains with christmas lights as a night light. Also purchased a white fur rug at Walmart for $20.

This is looking at the baby's side. I already had the crib, but added the blue fitted crib sheets, made a tie blanket, put up a large Elsa wall sticker decal, and then added fluffy decor and snowflakes to the ceiling above. The baby loves looking at her new mobile!
