A man apparently committed suicide by jumping from the eighth floor of the Caesars Palace parking garage on Saturday morning. Witness accounts and additional evidence suggested the man jumped intentionally, though the investigation of the incident is incomplete at this point.
Metro Police responded to the scene shortly before 10 am this morning. Police suggested that the man appeared to be in his early 40's. The victim's name and official cause of death will be released in a few days by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
This is the second jump suicide on / near the Las Vegas Strip within the last sixty days. As reported in a recent LVE article, a man jumped off a fourth floor ledge at The Cosmopolitan in the early am of March 4, 2011.
