Today, Kristen Stewart was awarded the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Orange "Rising Star" Award.
After it was announced that Stewart was nominated for the award - back in mid-January - her fans in the United Kingdom were persistent in voting for her . . . and apparently that persistence paid off.
Stewart was nominated alongside Carey Mulligan (An Education), as well as Nicholas Hoult (Skins), Tahar Rahim, and her Adventureland co-star Jesse Eisenberg.
In accepting the award, Stewart gave her thanks to Twilight fans and her regards to the other nominees.
"First, I have to thank all the fans of Twilight for proving again and again to be the most devoted and attentive fans ever," she said. "Credit is due to them, so thank you."
"To the other actors nominated, I am so blown away by you I can't even describe it to you, and to be considered amongst you is overwhelming and I can't describe it."
Here are a couple of videos of Stewart on the red carpet.

luv the humble speech, and how sweet of her to win. I can't wait to see even more of her films, and have enjoyed the work she's done, so this award is very fitting.
