Four hours away from Colorado, Boston has a defined Chinatown for visitors who are curious about Asian cuisines, decor and architecture.

Chinese immigrants settled in Boston during the 1880s. These immigrants pitched their tents in this northeast area. Boston natives dubbed the section as "Ping On Alley."

Today, this area covers the gamut of Asian cuisines. Most of the restaurants brag about its Zagat rating, an independent trusted rating within the hospitality industry. Check with your hotel's concierge for their best suggestion on a restaurant in Chinatown.

This vibrant Chinatown is located between the Financial District, the Boston Common, the Theater District and the Leather District. This location is accessible to those who use the underground subway. This Chinatown embodies great atmosphere and builds up the anticipation for tasting the various Asian cuisines. During the hot summer nights, families, teenagers, senior citizens and tourists can be seen walking up and down the five-block radius of Chinatown.

Cuisines include meal selection of Vietnamese sandwich, hot pot, dim sums, dumplings and family-styles meals. Other delights include boba shakes, bakery goods and samplings of rice cakes and sesame balls.

Restaurants are packed with diners all hours of the days. Peak times are the obvious lunch and dinner time frames but late-night weekend crowds penetrate this Chinatown for those the weekly clubbers and theater goers.
