For 43 years, Crate and Barrel has solidified a relationship with Finnish textile company, Marimekko. Marimekko has been a valuable component of CB as they have provided stylish dining, bedding and bath accessories. We are so excited to announce that as of yesterday, Marimekko has opened its doors to a brand new showroom in SoHo. Boasting 1,775 square feet and exclusive home decorating textiles, the company now has its very own space inside Crate and Barrel.
"From Crate and Barrel's earliest days in the 60s, Marimekko has been a vital and vibrant presence in our stores and in our lives, a part of countless special occasions and company milestones," says Barbara Turf, CEO and President of Crate and Barrel. "With this latest collaboration, our brands again stand together, launching an innovative new retailing chapter that builds on our shared design heritage and adds an exciting new design dimension to the Crate and Barrel shopping experience."
The new SoHo showroom is quite striking. Its all white interior is the perfect platform to showcase their bright prints and fashionable patterns. Hue upon hue radiates throughout the space enticing nearby customers to venture inside. Marimekko also does a great job of creating a floorplan that allows for movement and interaction. This showroom is vibrant, modern and will soon become the "to-go" location for trendsetting goods.
