New poll shows that minorities want tougher enforcement against illegal aliens

A recent Zogby poll suggests that what open borders advocates have been telling us for years, is simply not true. The survey found that most minority Americans strongly favor tough enforcement of our borders, and believe that illegal aliens are taking jobs away from Americans.

The poll was conducted between November 13 to 30, 2009. Zogby researchers interviewed 700 Hispanic, 400 African-American, and 400 Asian-American likely voters.

The results were as follows:

-When asked what they thought of current level of immigration, the respondents answered:

Hispanics: 56 percent said it is too high; 7 percent said too low; 14 percent just right.

Asian-Americans: 57 percent said immigration is too high; 5 percent said too low; 18 percent just right.

African-Americans: 68 percent said it is too high; 4 percent said too low; 14 percent just
right.

-When asked what they saw as the cause behind illegal immigration, the respondents answered:

Hispanics: Just 20 percent said illegal immigration was caused by not letting in enough legal immigrants; 61 percent said inadequate enforcement.

Asian-Americans: 19 percent said not enough legal immigration; 69 percent said inadequate enforcement.

African-Americans: 16 percent said not enough legal immigration; 70 percent said inadequate enforcement.

-When asked if they thought we needed more foreign workers, or if there are enough Americans willing to fill the jobs, the respondents said:

Hispanics: 15 percent said legal immigration should be increased to fill unskilled jobs; 65 percent said there are plenty of Americans available to do unskilled jobs, employers just need to pay more.

Asian-Americans: 19 percent said increase immigration; 65 percent said plenty of Americans are available.

African-Americans: 6 percent said increase immigration; 81 percent said plenty of Americans are available.

-When asked if they believed illegal aliens living in this country should be sent home through tough enforcement of immigration laws, or if they should be granted amnesty, the respondents said:

Hispanics: 52 percent support enforcement; 34 percent support conditional legalization.

Asian-Americans: 57 percent support enforcement; 29 percent support conditional legalization.

African-Americans: 50 percent support enforcement; 30 percent support conditional legalization.

Undoubtedly, much to the chagrin of President Obama, Sen. John McCain, and greedy business,’ too numerous to list, the issue of illegal immigration is at least one issue on which an overwhelming majority of Americans can agree…We want the law enforced and our jobs reserved for U.S. citizens.

Despite the rhetoric spilling from the mouths of unscrupulous politicians, seeking new votes from those to whom they wish to grant amnesty--the strict enforcement of immigration laws is not a racial issue, but one simply of right and wrong.

    I think good enforcement is necessary for security. I support open controlled borders. I would also support easier citizenship or travel to the USA under one condition, NO MORE ENTITLEMENTS PERIOD! That will likely never happen so I will continue to not support an easy citizenship.

    Of course minorities want tougher enforcement. Lawbreaking illegal aliens are stealing more American jobs from minorities as unemployment figures clearly show. The irony is that racist groups like La Raza are hurting legal immigrant Latinos by encouraging lawbreaking illegal alien Latinos to compete for the same jobs. What a terrible way to treat your own people.

    now what is wrong with this poll?

    "Zogby International is headquartered in Utica, New York, with offices in Washington, D.C., Miami, Florida, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates."

    you notice what's missing? no office at all in the southwest...all "hispanics" are not alike...Miami and New York are mostly Puerto Ricans and Cubans and neither city has any inkling of border economies and dynamics...also, mexicans are 60% of the hispanic demographics...the poll excluded the majority of hispanic representation and the majority MOST affected by tight or loose borders...the WHOLE of the southwest was excluded on a border question poll!!!...all asians are not alike...japanese are a high wage demographic and chinese are a low wage demographic...which "asians" do you believe would be more likely to be illegal or know illegals?...if you ask only japanese and only cubans about border policies you would get completely opposite results than asking mexicans and chinese...a totally warped poll.

    I wasn't asked in this poll, but count me in as wanting these criminals out of this counrty and back in their own country where they belong with their families.

    I'm from Delaware, and we are pressing to get the Oklahoma State Illegal Immigration Law, HB 1804. passed here in Delaware. Three years ago we had about 32,000 illegal aliens here. Today we have about 68,000 illegal aliens here. We have had it! We want our State back!

    This notion that illegal immigration wouldn't be so severe if legal quotas were higher is beyond foolish. That's like telling a store which keeps robbed via break-ins that they could "solve the problem" by just giving away more of their merchandise. Wake Up Ladies & Gentlemen! There are 2 BILLION - that's 2 B-I-L-L-I-O-N people currently living on less than $2 a day, 40 MILLION in Mexico alone. How many of these 2 BILLION people is this one space-limited nation supposed to absorb? And, hello! unemployment/underemployment is at 18% and NOT EXPECTED TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE for 5 years. Who wants to sacrifice their job to a foreign born individual?? NO COUNTRY WITHOUT ENFORCED BORDERS IS A COUNTRY AT ALL. WE'VE TAKEN IN 60 MILLION - 60 M-I-L-L-I-O-N immigrants since 1970. The sending countries have NO incentive to address their overpopulation problems with birth control education if we just keep taking in their citizens. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

    Sorry you didn't read the man's post with comprehension. He said "about"(that means not exact but approximately, by the way) for both numbers.

    Since you failed to note any differences between black Americans living in New York, Miami, Phoenix or L.A., how do you account for the similar agreement on polled results of black people with the Asians and Hispanics polled? Also, unemployment is far lower for Asians than the national average and far higher for blacks and Hispanics. This is a strong reason to believe the accuracy of the poll.

    NO form of any amnesty such as "earned legalization" amnesty etc. The late Senator Kennedy assured us the 1986 amnesty would be the last. Let's hold him to his promise and stand up to the shrill voices of the well-funded ethnocentric and cheap labor lobbies.

    To give instant citizenship to people who not aren't loyal to the our country, and totally disregard our laws is against everything that we have been taught and stand for. Their children born here illegally should go through the same naturalization process as those who come here legally, and swear oath.

    Logic would answer that the estimated number of illegal aliens in Delaware is undoubtedly from a state or federal government agency. Governments are known to keep statistics on just about every conceivable subject you could think of. You could probably find out from some government agency an estimate of how many left-handed female business owners between the ages of 30-39 who drive SUV's there are in Delaware.

    one of these days, you ought to read the constitution...it's a nice read.

    Citizenship in the United States is a matter of federal law, governed by the United States constitution.

    Since the adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment to the constitution on July 9, 1868, birthright citizenship in the United States has been controlled by its Citizenship Clause, which states:

    "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

    This is why the illegals are here in the first place. The Patrons of Mexico do not want them, do want to allow them access to Mexico's vast resources. It is the same in all of Latin America. Instead of a revolution that will take the power away from these disgusting families in Mexico who have ruled since the Conquistadors, they will export their poor to the US and we will become another extension of the Latin American third world country. We have enough mal treatment of Americans by Americans here in the US, but we have traditionally had enough "sharing" of resources to curb these same ill effects. But now?

Well, in the agricultural industry guess who does the hardest work? guess who works from dusk to dawn under 100+ degree weather with hardly no breaks? breaking their backs picking up the food for your nasty racist mouths?
