Labor Day 2010 isn't very enjoyable for the millions of our less-educated citizens and legal residents who can't find full-time work.   Making their search for a better life even more difficult are "progressive" politicians like Sen. Russ Feingold, an illegal alien's best friend.

As part of the Obama administration, which says jobs for Americans are a "top priority," Feingold continues to pander for the Hispanic vote at the expense of millions of his fellow citizens.  Like many of this Democratic colleagues and certain Republicans who think only in terms of the next election cycle rather than what's best for this republic, Feingold supports the idea of allowing 8 million illegals to remain in our workforce, the majority of them in the construction, manufacturing, transportation and service industries.

This groveling before the various immigrant rights groups and other special interests has earned Feingold a place among the "50 Worst Deserters" of American workers, according to NumbersUSA.  See for yourself  just how low Mr. Feingold has stooped on behalf of those who have no respect for our immigration laws or the sovereignty of the American people.

"See for yourself" you say. I see a man with courage.

How much courage does it take to allow 8 million illegals to keep their jobs when millions of our own citizens aren't able to find full-time jobs? Speaking of courage, where's yours? If I'm willing to put my photo and name online, why not you? In my dictionary, "anonymous" is defined as "spineless."

Actually, illegal immigration has gone down greatly in the past year, 8% according to one figure. The U.S. government spends billions of dollars on border patrol and enforcement. The idea that the U.S. does little or nothing when it comes to illegal immigration is a myth. The problem is that when there is a high demand for emmigration to the U.S. (just as with drugs or alchol during prohibition) then it is hard to completely curb it.

    Ted:

You're missing the point completely. So what if illegal immigration has declined? We still have 8 million illegals working full-time. Why isn't the Obama administration demanding their removal so those jobs could be given to the most vulnerable of our own citizens?

  • Thank you, Ted.

Wow, not even conservative writers have to know what they're talking about anymore? I wish other jobs worked like that.

NumbersUSA isn't a website dedicated to solving the immigration problem. You, along with other conservatives aren't trying to solve the immigration problem. Your solution is to restrict visas to people because you're a stupid coward who runs away at the prospect of losing your job to someone who can do it better than you can. Isn't capitalism supposed to be the opposite of that?

But whatever, fine. You're argument is that Feingold is supportive of illegal immigrants because he's pandering to Hispanic voters. Congratulations! You're racist. I'll bet you didn't know he was trying to gain the support of Hispanics that have the ability to vote and thus must be LEGAL CITIZENS.

And I challenge you to find a source for that idiotic statistic that you conveniently didn't cite. 8 million jobs? Here's an article that talks about Russ Feingold's beefs with trade agreements and how he ditched his own party in order to save some damn jobs: http://www.milwaukeelabor.org/in_the_news/article.cfm?n_id=00126

It would legitimately upset me if you were paid to write this, because I know there are thousands of unemployed people that could do a lot better.

    I meant "your" argument.

Also you're going to have to explain to me how Feingold is a person who only cares about the next election cycle when he was the ONLY person to vote against the PATRIOT Act, during the post 9/11 hysteria. He's been in Washington for 18 years, which is more than enough time to secure a livable pension. He legitimately cares about Wisconsin, and you are a moron for not realizing that.
