Dave Gorak, who spent nearly 30 years as a Chicago print journalist, has been executive director of the Midwest Coalition to Reduce Immigration since 2001. A Chicago native, he worked for the Chicago Daily News and Crain's Chicago Business, the latter a weekly business newspaper he helped found in 1978. He has helped carry the immigration reduction message through newspaper columns, letters to the editor and on national radio and television, including the "O'Reilly Factor," PBS' "Chicago Tonight," Chicago Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Radio and Television, and WMTV (NBC) in Madison, WI.
