Human rights violations continue in the Gulf of Mexico region. MSNBC's Keith Olbermann reports that environmental scientists testified to Congress that dispersants, particularly, Corexit, only hides evidence by reducing oil's visibility of the magnitude of the leak's ongoing damage while poisoning people breathing it off-shore and near-shore.
So far, 20% of offshore clean-up workers, 15% near-shore clean-up workers tested have levels of 2-Butoxyethanol (used in Corexit) measured at 10 parts per million - twice the limit specified by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
An untold number of near-shore residents are now poisoned in what has become an open-air gas chamber. and what aquatic toxicologist Chris Pincetich of Project Gulf Impact calls "an experiment in the Gulf the likes of which no one has ever seen." (Also see: Gulf act of war Part II: The art of chemical warfare, Examiner, Dupre')
"And the top scientists admit that. So we’re all part of the experiment, according to Pincetich.
British Petroleum continues to violate human rights of clean-up workers by preventing their use biohazard suits and respirators. One way to get 2-Butoxyethanol toxicity is to simply breath the air in the vicinity of the chemical. Respirators would prevent poisoning.
Wayne Madsen's recent visit in the area provided the world with photographic evidence of these human rights violation atrocities.
"Moderate respiratory exposure to 2-butoxyethanol often results in irritation of mucous membranes of the eyes, nose and throat. Heavy exposure via respiratory, dermal or oral routes can lead to hypotension, metabolic acidosis, hemolysis, pulmonary edema and coma." (Wikipedia)
This Examiner continues to report that during this Gulf catastrophe, "safe and effective solutions for human and environmental survival are not part of the agenda."
Neurosurgeon Dr. Russell Blaylock has recently reported the same in Newsmax stating "You can't count on government agencies like the FDA and the EPA to protect you... [T]hey don't share their concerns over contaminants with us - the general public - through the media or through public alerts."
