Sarah Silverman moustache provides rare humorous Emmy moment (photos)
Friend of The Howard Stern Show, actress and comedienne Sarah Silverman provided one of the few truly funny moments in an Emmy broadcast filled with nearly three straight hours of "jokes" that sounded like they were hijacked from last week's "Open Mic Night" at the Burbank Moose Lodge. Sarah Silverman broke through Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris' E-Z Cheese shmear to provoke a few actual real laughs during a profoundly unfunny Emmy broadcast.
Sarah Silverman sported at thick fake moustache when the camera cut while the nominations for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series" were announced. Silverman's prolific body hair has been a topic of discussionduring her previous appearances on The Howard Stern Show. In addition to Sarah Silverman's deadpan moustached gaze into the camera while the nominations were announced, Sarah also glowered hilariously as winner Toni Collette delivered her acceptance speech. It looked for a second there like Silverman might "pull a Kanye."
Unfortunately, evil genius Sarah Silverman also provided some unintentional comedy moments during her appearance on the Emmy Awards red carpet. Sarah wore a royal blue strapless gown that looked like it was swiped from the fat girl in class who wanted to buy a dress that she could wear to both the junior prom and the Renn Faire wedding she has coming up later this summer to coincide with the harvest season. The dress was both ill-fitting and drape-ish.
