Norway’s Dimmu Borgir, arguably one of the leaders of the symphonic black metal scene, have announced a series of North American dates in support of their forthcoming ninth album Abrahadabra. Set to hit the streets in the U.S. on October 12th via Nuclear Blast Records, Abrahadabra breaks the band’s long-running tradition of three-word album titles and sets expectations for a directional shift in content.
The tour kicks off on November 5th in Worcester, MA, wrapping up just over a month later in Quebec City, Canada. The closest the trek will come to Central Kentucky is on Thursday, December 9th when Dimmu Borgir descends upon Columbus’ Newport Music Hall.
Joining Dimmu Borgir on the tour will be fellow countrymen Enslaved and Blood Red Throne, as well as California’s Dawn of Ashes.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale September 15th. For a complete list of dates, and to download the band’s free iPhone app, visit their MySpace page.
