Ready for a break from Minnesota before the weather hits for another long winter? Head to Maine for sunny skies, clear coastal water and the freshest seafood you'll ever taste this side of nowhere. On a recent trip to Stonington, Maine on Deer Isle, we found the ten best places to eat and shop.

Order at the counter first, surrounded by the aroma of freshly baked artisan breads, salty salamis and enough rich cheese offerings to make any Minnesota dairy-lover smile, then find a table in the tiny dining room or sit outside at tables conveniently placed on the lawn, next to the organic garden. Your best bet is one of their specialty sandwiches served on homemade pita. The Muffuletta alone is worth the trip.
