Rotation one: Juniors on vault/bars, seniors on beam/floor
Warmup notes: Former FIG President Hardy Fink is the chief judge for the men's event, it is announced. That's fitting.
Kristin Klarenbach is not competing tonight, and apparently did not work out yesterday either. She has been replaced by Gabby May in the all-around competition.
Jordyn Pedersen, vault: FTY, hop back, little bit of legs in the air.
Rotation two: Juniors on bars/beam, seniors on vault/floor
Rotation three: Juniors on beam/floor, seniors on vault/bars
Rotation four: Juniors on vault/floor, seniors on bars/beam
Seniors: 1. Madeline Gardiner; 2. Jessica Savona; 3. Bianca Dancose-Giambattisto; 4. Brittany Rogers; 5. Coralie Leblond-Chartrand; 6. Talia Chiarelli; 7. Sabrina Gill
Juniors: 1. Victoria Moors; 2. Natalie Vaculik; 3. Jordyn Pedersen; 4. Stefanie Merkle; 5. Vivi Babalis; 6. Maegan Chant; 7. Victoria Woo; 8. Nicole Chow
This is a huge victory for what we'll call the Saadi method. Elvira Saadi and her club, Cambridge Kips, produce the top gymnasts in both the senior and junior division.

Pre-competition warmup notes:
CHARLOTTETOWN, 3:03 p.m.: It's going to be a fun evening. The senior and junior women's all-around champions will be crowned tonight at the University of Prince Edward Island, and after three days of training and waiting, the senior men's competition will finally get underway.
Defending Canadian champion Nathan Gafuik is once again the favorite, but he will have some competition for the senior title this year from some very promising younger gymnasts, including Saskatchewan's Jayd Lukenchuk and Anderson Loran.
The women's side is much harder to predict. The gymnasts who did well on night one were the ones who kept consistent, while others struggled with added difficulty. The top three seniors were Dominique Pegg, who finished third all-around, Commonwealth Games team member Kristin Klarenbach and Bianca Dancose-Giambattisto, who competed at the 2010 Worlds for Canada.
Victoria Moors leads the junior women, followed by Gemini's Natalie Vaculik and Kaitlyn Hofland of Gymnastics Mississauga.
Others to watch: Junior Canadian champion Sabrina Gill squeaked into the all-around final after a fall-filled competition in the preliminaries. Gill has some of the most difficult routines in the meet, and many of her skills are still fairly new for her. Although she's competing in the senior division, she is not age-eligible to represent Canada at the 2011 Worlds, so this is very much a building year for her.
British Columbia's Brittany Rogers, who grabbed the last spot into the all-around final, is also a work in progress after an ankle injury that severely limited her training. Aside from Pegg, Rogers is the most experienced gymnast in the field tonight, and she should use that to her advantage.
Canadian-American Talia Chiarelli, competing at her first Canadian Nationals this year, has been impressive. Chiarelli is a power gymnast whose family moved from Ontario to Massachusetts several years ago, but she is looking forward to trying to compete for Canada in the future.
The big question for Chiarelli tonight will be vault -- she finished fifth overall in prelims despite falling on her double-twisting Yurchenko. If she stands it up this time, she will be in good contention to medal due to the score boost she gets from the difficulty of the skill.
Also looking to crack the top three will be Ontario's Jessica Savona, who has a DTY of her own. Like some of her Oakville teammates, Savona struggled on bars during the first night of competition. She has great potential for a medal as well if she can nail the routine.
Notes: Silvia Colussi-Pelaez, who intends to compete for Spain, showed lovely form throughout the women's competition. She is currently 11th overall....21-year-old Sarah Flett, tied for seventh, is a magnificent tumbler...Coralie Leblond-Chartrand, also seventh, was a World team member in 2010 and remarkably steady...new senior Shae Zamardi finished sixth overall in the preliminaries and should be one to watch for as well...the elegant Madeline Gardiner had two falls on floor during preliminaries and is currently ninth, but she will move up if she can just control her gymnastics.
In the junior division, young Maegan Chant is a supertalented tumbler and vaulter, and not bad on bars, either. Chant finished fourth in the junior division but is a real medal threat....ditto Jordyn Pedersen, last year's Novice champion, who was fifth, and Vivi Babalis, sixth.
Sabrina Tomassini, 11th, had a rough meet the first night but is a hugely talented gymnast and will move up in the standings provided she doesn't make mistakes...same with Stefanie Merkle, now eighth...young Casey Carvalho, seventh, is a bright new talent and very exciting to watch.
3:21 p.m.: While we're waiting...why not check out a few more women's training videos? I especially like Demi Pas'schoreography on floor. Pas won't be in tonight's all-around final, but she did make floor finals. That routine is here, and new training things from Sabrina Gill, Krishna Yemany, Jessica Savona and Madeline Gardiner are on the videos page here.
4:49 p.m.: Women's Open division preliminaries. If I were an NCAA coach, I would pay as close attention to this competition as to the junior and senior women's meets. The skill level is high, and the gymnasts look fit and content. Most are already doing what look like NCAA routines on beam and floor.
The gymnast to beat here seems to be Oakville's Jessica Dowling, who competed in the senior division last year and intends to try for the Dutch National team. Dowling's best event is uneven bars, but here she also showed a very nice FTY on vault.
4:59 p.m.: Fashion notes! The junior and senior women and the senior men are in the gym and warming up for tonight's women's all-around final and men's prelim! Talia Chiarelli is in the long sleeved purple sparkly Brestyan's number, Brittany Rogers is sporting long-sleeved red and gray, Natalie Vaculik is in long sleeved red with a silver maple leaf and Dominique Pegg looks sporty in red and white. Silvia Colussi-Pelaez is in sleeveless blue and silver. Given the Spanish team's penchant for sleeveless leotards, she'll fit right in.
5:15 p.m.: On night one, I noted in the quick hits that standout Anysia Unick, who won the Nadia Comaneci International in Oklahoma in February, watered back her tumbling on floor. There's a reason -- Anysia had a high ankle sprain recently and is not actually cleared to tumble. Ergo, a very watered back floor routine.
5:22 p.m.: Talia Chiarelli continues to struggle a bit with the landing of her DTY.
Sabrina Gill is getting back into the swing of things on uneven bars -- she just did a very clean second half of her routine, including the Pak salto, which gave her problems on night one.
Over on the men's side of the floor, there is some impressive tumbling happening. Nathan Gafuik did an Arabian double pike, and...was that a Randi side pass there, Nathan? Nice!
Robert Watson, who was second to the now-retired Jaylan Birl in the junior division in 2010, just stuck an Arabian double front. Robert, who competed at the Youth Olympics last summer, is a new senior this year.
5:31 p.m.: Today's dumb observation: I find it really impressive (and a little scary) that male gymnasts can just jump up and grab the rings as though they were jumping and grabbing high bar. It seems like a good way to dislocate a shoulder or something.
6:10 p.m.: Young Nicole Chow is quite impressive on uneven bars -- just caught a crisp stalder and a Pak salto. Saw an excellent roundoff, double tuck off beam from Sarah Flett just now too.
6:17 p.m.: Dominique Pegg looks calm and focused on beam. And very precise. This could be her night....
6:20 p.m.: Warmups are winding down. Most of the girls look ready to get things going. One of the few left on the competition floor is Natalie Vaculik, who is trying to get in a couple last runs on vault. We should be underway shortly. Good luck to all competitors!
