Will terrorists in next attack on U.S. enter from Mexico?

Two recent news accounts highlight a threat that has largely been overlooked in the debate on border security between the United States and Mexico.

From Fox News:

Iranian Book Celebrating Suicide Bombers Found in Arizona Desert

and from The Los Angeles Times:

Controversial Muslim cleric is arrested while sneaking into the U.S.

These bring to mind an email I received recently from Mike Cutler, a retired INS Senior Special Agent, who directed my attention to his “prepared testimony for the immigration hearing that was conducted on Wednesday, January 27th by the House Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement.”  Of special relevance here:

Recently officials of the DHS voiced concerns about Mumbai-style attacks being carried out in Europe or the United States that would target hotels or places where large numbers of people congregate as well as recently stated concerns about efforts by al-Qaeda to poison patrons of restaurants or hotels.

That or schools, as happened in Beslan.

The softest targets would be so-called “gun free zones.”  And no doubt “assault weapons” would be used.

Leading to a frenzied nonstop blood dance accompanied by furious demands from opportunistic politicians, zealots and the media to further disarm Americans, rendering us even more vulnerable…

Is there any doubt that would be their reaction?

And does anyone seriously think the solution is to disarm the “law-abiding” and create an even larger potential victim pool?

ATF’s “Southwest Border Initiative” with the parallel manifestations of “Project Gunrunner” the proposed long gun “emergency” measure and “Project Gunwalker” are all symptomatic of a deeper sickness. The way the government is treating it is akin to using leeches on a struggling patient.

  • I doubt it. The next terrorists to attack will probably enter America from Washington DC. Like usual.

Now THAT is funny ... perhaps too true, but funny.

For David ... they are probably already here.

Very good comment., we're attacked from D.C. on a daily basis. If not D.C. then it's some un-elected black robed tyrant/s from behind a Judicial Bench. The majority of people are so wrapped up in their own problems, they're completely blind that their world is crumbling all around them.

Exactly, Kent. Those terrorist attacks have been almost nonstop for a long time. And I don't doubt that any so-called Al Qaeda activity would actually be false flag attacks, even if carried out by folks from the Mideast.

There have been so many attacks, lies and cover-ups that it is impossible to believe ANYTHING the US government says.

I'd much rather take my chances on being able to defend myself than count on the Feds for anything at all, ever.

  • DHS = Al Qaeda. Just with slightly better hygiene.

"That or schools, as happened in Beslan."

That, or airport security-theater checkpoints, where the TSA has conveniently lined up potential victims in nice, neat, closely packed targets.

Kent's got a good point, but how would we tell any theoretical difference between the two terrorist factions?

"...but how would we tell any theoretical difference between the two terrorist factions?"

Not necessarily a sure bet, but I would guess if you find their hand inside your clothing, they're more likely to be TSA than Al Qaida.

The last terrorist attack was committed in Tucson by a US citizen with a legally purchased handgun.

I'm willing to bet that the next terrorist attack will be committed by another homegrown terrorist.

Only a sane person can commit an act of terrorism.

I have believed for a long time now that if there were any legitimate terrorist they have to be the dumbest bunch of people on the planet.

Our border is wide open and any idiot can walk across it carrying as much as their back can handle.

How do you tell the difference between a real terrorist attack and a false flag event?

The media hypes false flag events and reports on them constantly.

Real events may not get reported on at all.

The only real attack that I can see they can’t ignore is one so vast they have no choice

We live fairly close to the border in NM, north of I-10. That being the case we frequently have to travel to Tucson or El Paso and we never go unarmed. Not that we are all that prepared but at least we are more prepared than we would be UNarmed. We never venture south of I-10. El Paso is not a desirable trip but sometimes we have to go there. Illegals have long been seen walking through this area heading north. They don't stop before they get to Denver or Albuquerque. And they are NOT the same as the ag workers of long ago. OBAMA: Stop this foolishness.

“An assemblage of Patriots in political positions with a true passion for saving America as a Nation would have slammed the door on ALL immigration on 9/12, rounded up all visa-overstayers and deported them, and began a program to rid America’s prison system of illegals, just for starters. FedGov still could but they won't.”

There are many purposes being served by those in FedGov for avoiding their Constitutionally-mandated duties to secure U.S. borders and repel invasion.
Owners of The Central Bank of the U.S. ( the non-federal, non-reserve, privately owned and intentionally-misnamed Federal Reserve Bank ) want their hands on the money illegals currently send out of the country.
FedGov wants illegals on Federal tax rolls, one reason being as an attempt to prop up the Social Security ponzi-scheme numbers.
The Democrats want a permanent voting block and many business owners want what amounts to slave labor.
Allowing the flood of functionally illiterate people to continue invading the U.S. fits not only FedGov’s general design of having a large part of the population dependent on government and crushing the middle class, but is integral to the Agenda of forming a ’Union of the Americas’/ 'North American Union'.
There’s no category for Gun Crimes committed by ’other than American Citizens’, thus, Gun Crimes committed by illegals is always useful for FedGov as more ‘reasons’ for enacting additional Federal Gun Control laws.

The ‘terrorist threat’ is real and serious, but ’terrorism’ by islamists is only one means of achieving their political goals.
Part of FedGov is obviously not allowing the crisis to got to waste and naturally using the constant ‘threat’ as but another means of assuming power for itself.
Unfortunately for American Citizens, the actual threat is within the islamic ideology itself.
As a religious/political/governmental/societal/economy-controlling system affected through brainwashing, indoctrination and maintaining devout ignorance of its followers in what amounts to cult-status fanaticism on a level by far surpassing what’s ever been achieved through Communism---neither the American Citizenry in general nor those in any part of American government are in the least prepared to successfully deal with the havoc, destruction, poverty and misery this particular ideology has brought to the people in every place on the planet it’s been allowed to exist.
Brought to mind here is recall of the illegal alien Lee-Boyd Malvo and the convert to the peaceful religion John Williams/Muhammad. Certain that everyone knows INS had Malvo in custody and released him prior to his targeting of Infidels with a stolen rifle in a jihad-for-extortion ’sniper spree’, right?
