I never thought I'd be saying CBS did a good job on an article about guns. Great job David, Mike and everyone else getting this out, including the agents bringing it to everybody's attention, and thanks CBS for finally getting it right.
I'm one who is often reduced to fits of laughter over the amazing firearm ignorance exhibited by most news reporters. With that as background, my hat is off to CBS for this one. This is the best piece of firearm reporting I've seen by any network. Good job. Well done.
I'm sure we'll have to wait for the investigation to uncover the motive here, if ever, but what's teh speculation? Is the ATF on the "take" with the Cartels? That is their M.O. Were they trying to pad the statistics of smuggled guns to further their anti-freedom, gun grabbing agenda? Thoughts?
Looking back on ATF's actions in the past, their M.O. is to put on a big show and production (which end up with people being murdered) to attempt to justify their budget.
Smuggling firearms into Mexico so they can "trace the serial numbers back to US gun shops" to inflate their Project Gunrunner numbers certainly seems to fit that M.O.
I believe this is all part of the anti gun groups, trying to frame law abiding citizens.
To help their gun grabbing efforts. But, it blew up in their faces. Imagine, it just boggles the mind, the extent these agencies will go to disarm American's. However, the BIG question is WHY?
And the WHY is now a huge question for people who do not even own gun's. It makes one question all of the weird gun crimes plastered all over the news. Who IS actually behind these crimes?
And again WHY? What is the agenda? And what is the urgent push to disarm at any cost, Americans?
This story was on DRUDGE Thursday Night 3-3-11. Friday Morning vanished.
Is this a case of Treasury and State Dept creating statistics so the Hillary's agenda can have some teeth.
UN Small Arms - Gun Show Loophole - etc.
Field Agents knew it was wrong - Higher ups calling shots - How High?
Here is my question.
The Dealers that were told by ATF to let the sales go through.
Were the allowed to keep the sales money?
If this were a true undercover reverse buy, The cash used in the sale would be evidence.
Therefore ATF would have to seize the cash from the FFL Dealer and either give him a receipt or recompense.
If the dealers have these receipts then ATF can not cover this up.
If they do not, then it is their word against ATF, and ATF has deniablity.
If the later is true, then everyone in the administration wins.
They get to say "See we told you so, move along no story here go back and watch what is happening with Martin Sheen."
My gut is telling me that this is a contrived move to give justification on changing gun laws and signing on to the UN Treaty.
Would we find that this story is related to the corruption from Ramos and the other Border agent arrested for shooting a gun smuggler. You remember the one given a free pass to return to the U.S. to testify against them in court. The one who was smuggling drugs and was caught before and after their incident. There's a larger story behind the crumbs here!

Thanks to David and Mike for all their good work. This is just the beginning. CBS didn't do a 1/2 bad job of reporting.

Padding the statistics of smuggled guns would certainly serve to justify increasing their power and control, wouldn't it?

It's time disband the ATF!!
You sir, are correct.
When the good guys turn out to be the bad guys, good people pay dearly. The actions of ATF are deplorable. Thanks to CBS for a change.

Yes, I think this is just one step from the ATF to disarm America.
