“The Obama administration has created and staffed a new position tucked inside their communications shop for helping coordinate rapid response to unfavorable stories and fostering and improving relations with the progressive online community,” The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein writes.
"’This week, Jesse Lee will move from the new media department into a role in the communications department as Director of Progressive Media & Online Response,’ read an internal memo from Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, provided to The Huffington Post,’” Stein explains.
“Lee is a personal friend of Stein,” HuffPo discloses.
Well, that explains the puff piece.
Just so we’re clear: Your tax dollars are going to fund a propaganda effort to give talking points to the mainstream media.
Wait—that’s not fair. This specifically says he’s dealing with “the progressive online community.”
Sorry. With “Tingles” claiming Obama is the new Kennedy and Bill Clinton is the voice of God, it’s hard to keep the two compartmentalized.
And about that “progressive community”—isn’t the Congressional Progressive Caucus closely aligned with subversives like the Democratic Socialists of America, itself an affiliate of Socialist International?
And despite lots of worm-tongued qualifying, DSA ultimately concluded:
DSA believes that the possible election of Senator Obama to the presidency in November represents a potential opening for social and labor movements to generate the critical political momentum necessary to implement a progressive political agenda.
In case you’re not familiar with them, DSA is the group with solidarity songs promising:

Own any capital? Are you a member of the middle class, or a merchant? More broadly, are you not a peasant? Guess what you are. No wonder these monstrous genocidal freaks back “gun control.”
OK, so we’ve established that a taxpayer-funded, National Socialist-connected propagandist is going to be doing damage control on stories embarrassing to the White House, and dispensing cabal-engineered talking points to media lapdog useful idiots and co-conspirators. That’s the playing field.
Yo, Lee—wanna talk “Gunwalker”? I mean, it’s obvious from this move that the Administration just doesn’t think poor in-over-his-head Scott Thomasson is up to the containment/spin effort needed to keep attention off the very real blood on its hands.
Welcome to the party, pal. Let’s see what you’ve got. Will you hide from it, like most of the "Authorized Journalist" camp followers have to date? Or will we see an invigorated renewal of deflections, conflations, lies and smears for them to spread?
