There's been (yet another) massacre in Nigeria. From AFP:
UN chief Ban Ki-moon and Washington led calls for restraint on Monday after the slaughter of more than 500 Christians in Nigeria, as survivors told how the killers chopped down their victims.
And this happened while the victims were supposedly under government protection:
[S]ecurity forces... faced bitter criticism over how the killers were able to go on the rampage at a time when a curfew was meant to be in force.
The attack wasn't exactly a surprise:
...Muslim residents of the villages in Plateau state had been warned by phone text message, two days prior to the attack, so they could make good their escape...
Apparently, the politically incorrect killers used "profiling":
Those who failed to respond in the same language were hacked to death.
Thankfully, the UN leader is "concerned," and is joined by Hillary Clinton in calling for "restraint." After all:
"People were attacked with axes, daggers and cutlasses -- many of them children, the aged and pregnant women."
That'll restrain 'em.
Add to that the "Plateau State Christian Elders Consulatative Forum (PSCEF)" characterizing the attack as "another jihad and provocation," and the fact that "the authorities," that is, the ones with "control" of guns "did nothing to prevent the bloodshed."
And what's with the attackers "firing in the air"? Someone evidently had guns. In spite of Nigeria's "Firearms Act." I'll save you from reading the whole thing—here are the important parts:
No person shall have in his possession or under his control any firearm of one of the categories specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as a prohibited firearm) except in accordance with a licence granted by the President acting in his discretion.
and
No person shall have in his possession or under his firearms control any firearm of one of the categories specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Act (hereinafter referred to as a personal firearm) except in accordance with a licence granted in respect thereof by the Inspector-General of Police, which licences shall be granted or refused in accord-ance with principles decided upon by the National Council of Ministers.
So—how's that government monopoly on force working out? After all, if you listen to the globalist citizen disarmament elite, they're obviously the "only ones" who can be entrusted with firearms.
Don't believe me? Just read this summary from Human Rights Watch:
Nigeria is mired in a crisis of governance. Eight years since the end of military rule, the country’s longest-ever stretch of uninterrupted civilian government, the conduct of many public officials and government institutions is so pervasively marked by violence and corruption as to more resemble criminal activity than democratic governance.
And what of Nigerians who don't wish to be helpless as they and their loved ones are slaughtered in the most horrible ways imaginable? What of those who wish to defend themselves and live?
I'm sure Rebecca Peters of the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) would advise them to "get another hobby."

Take guns away from citizens and only criminals will have guns.
Take guns away from criminals and criminals will get more guns.
Gee Dave; I don't see any comments from the disarmament drones on this article. i guess that's because having defensless civilians hacked to bits while the "only ones" stand by does not fit their narrative.
Stan: This incident and Mumbai both. There are a bunch of "only-ones" governments out there who turn into Brave Sir Robin when TSHTF.
As far as I'm concerned, Nigeria is every bit as much a rogue state as Libya or North Korea.
I'm adding this event to my short list of reasons to never give up my ability to protect myself/family. I haven't counted but I wonder how long a complete list would be?
It's a good thing those 500 Christians weren't armed. If they had been they might have actually harmed some of their attackers ans escallated the violence. This way they keep the moral high ground and the approval of Ms. Peters. Too bad they are also dead, but you can't have everything.
Pacificsts forcing their cowardice on people in danger are the lowest form of life I can imagine.
BAN THE U.N.!!
STOP the FUNDS to this oppressive Org NOW!!!
AMERICA should be NO PART OF IT!
