Matt Mead for governor, plagued by anti-gun past

don't let matt mead seduce you

What does a politician like Matt Mead do when they want to cover-up their “anti-gun” past?

Simple, just use the media. But let us shine the beacon of truth on the subject…

Facts--
1. Matt Mead as a U.S. Attorney fought on the side of the ATF in “Wyoming VS. BATF”.
2. In this case the feds said the Wyoming legislature over-stepped their bounds.
3. Matt Mead welcomed a court brief from the Brady Campaign.
4. This case was both gun rights as well as state sovereignty.

The Mead campaign claim is- he will “Support efforts to limit federal control of guns”, but his record says just the opposite.

Mead said what?--
During a phone conversation with Matt Mead about his anti-gun record he defended himself with only two statements, he said- “I was just doing my job” and “You should see my gun collection”. Obviously neither one of these statements negates what happened in Wyoming VS. BATF.

This is his newest defense--
Mead is now defending himself with this statement on his web-site- “As Governor, I will be the strongest advocate for protection of Second Amendment rights...Don’t let California bloggers or folks with hidden agendas muddy the waters because I was a prosecutor".

The brutal truth--
Matt Mead won the case while Wyoming citizens lost...
Matt’s record speaks for itself, when the ATF said federal law was to take precedence over Wyoming statute that was drafted to fix a lifetime firearm ban of certain individuals, Matt Mead said- “Yes Master” and fought against the Wyoming Legislature despite his oath to defend the Constitution.

Don’t become seduced by the “false front” during the campaign, we all know how that works out.

    Hey Anthony,

Great article and a really telling video: you can read the body language of each candidate and spot the lies.

Keep up the great work, cause this is the year things change either for the better, or for utter disaster.

What's good for Wyoming is obviously not good for Matt Mead, pretty simple choice, his record speaks for itself!

I agree the media is an great tool to twist the public's eyes, making it appear he is pro-gun when in fact he has made so many stabs at our gun rights we have no reason to trust Matt Mead's contradicting statements according to his Anti-Gun Rights past!!!
    Great article!

Don't let a "WYOMING WANNABE" like Matt Mead become governor and prostitute himself and Wyoming to the federal government.

You are obviously not posting the facts, first off Mead is an avid gun owner and will not try to take guns from any law abiding citizen. As a Prosecutor and a US Attorney, it was his job to see to it that the safety of the citizens of Wyoming were protected from Methamphetamine dealers and other violent Felons wanting to carry weapons. I can guarantee the people that were prosecuted in the State of Wyoming under Meads direction were not the kind of people any responsible person would want to have carrying a firearm. I am an avid hunter and have owned several firearms my whole life, I am a strong believer in the second Amendment, but I am also grateful to men like Mead that protect law abiding citizens from those that abuse these rights.
