As noted in “British gun control: Coming soon to a country near you? ” seven countries, led by the United Kingdom, are attempting to revive U.N. efforts to restrict imports and exports of small arms. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the United States would reverse Bush administration opposition to international small arms control, potentially paving the way for the British-led effort, which calls for a vote by the U.N. General Assembly by year’s end.
The U.S. would support the “Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty” as long as it was conducted under rules of “consensus decision-making,” interpreted by some to require unanimous consent, Clinton said. Non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International and Oxfam, which support international restrictions, objected to requirements for a consensus.
The Heritage Foundation, calling demands for consensus “irrelevant” and “dangerous,” expressed opposition to the conference. The NRA has long opposed treaty efforts on grounds they would be used to abridge American’s right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment.

I'm telling you the only recourse we have is to use the 2nd amendment the way it was intended by the founding fathers to secure the states from attacks of our freedoms, both foreign or
DOMESTIC. Wich meens "REVOLUTION". Thomas Jefferson said it best we should have a revolution every generation to keep the government in check, and now you know the reason he said it.
he knew that man by nature are corruptable, and he was more intellagent than this group of thieves we have in office today.
Thats one of the reasons behind the 2nd amendment in the first place, they knew from history that power is corruptable and that absalute power is power absolute, therefore they gave us the tools to insure our freedoms wich is the 2nd amendment.
And thats why the socialists like cHARLES sCHUMAR, bILLARY cLINTONS, oBAMA, and the rest of the ilk-pigs want our guns.
It will be easier to control us FREE AMERICANS into submission.

I completely agree. It is PAST time. All of this has been building up for several decades. BUT, the real problem was started back around the time Abraham Lincoln was in office. Now, I'm not suggesting this has anything at all to do with slavery or the Emancipation Proclomation. On the contrary. Think really long and hard about why it was so detrimental that the U.S. as a whole stop the South from being a seperate part of the U.S. Interstate commerce. The south was the ONLY place in these United States where alot of the items used for everyday living could be grown. Cotton, rice, tobacco, sugar cane. So you see, this problem came along quite some time ago. It has only gotten worse because We have let it. Do some research and you'll find out that past Presidents have warned about these matters. Yes, it is a travesty, but the tide needs to be turned, and quick. Elections...Maybe. Revolution...If it comes to that. The only problem with the latter is not everybody knows the ... cont.,
whole truth about our political past because as a Nation, our school systems have succomb to the hypocrisy of our "bought" political leaders. This has been attributed to the " Dumbing Down of America". And it's true. Nobody wants to take responsibility for themselves or actions anymore. They have been fooled into thinking they need to have someone else tell them how to live their lives. And that Entity is the American government. Our elected officials. So yes, it IS time for them to pay the piper, so to speak. It is time they all answer for their criminal acts towards the people of this country.

"Concensus" decision making makes it sound legitimate to take away individual human rights, as long as there is "concensus" to do so. These rights are inalienable; they cannot be removed by "concensus" any more than a "concensus" decision can be made to attack other basic liberties.

Dont you people see what happens in Africa? And how many white leaders are there in Africa? NONE. Just find news on Africa. It is always some black president / leader killing his own people. And now the US, the greatest country on earth (I am not a US citizen, I am South African), allowed your fellow countrymen to vote a black person into power. Strictly speaking, he is a "Hotnot" (African, with European bloodline). Why did he win the elections? Because the MINORITY voted him in. The majority of Americans was too lazy to get off their Mcdonalds filled backside to go vote, or just did not care. If you did not vote, you cannot complain and you deserve every bit of hardship you leaders give you, and also the hatred your fellow countrymen should be directing at you.
Hopefully, the majority would have woken up and voted them out before I arrive there in 2011.

I knew there had to be a reason that Holder backed away from pushing the Clinton semi-auto ban. Now Obama can say, "It ain't me" when the UN tries to dictate to Americans that they will usurp our Second Amendment.

Granted, I can not understand how or why people just sit back and allow things like this. To even restrict the second amendment by limited types of arms is treason by definition, it "infringes" on a right that shall not be "infringed". So a politician in the federal gov trying to do so is not defending the constitution, but rather crippling it, that is treason by their own oath. On top of that even to consider entering into this small arms treaty with the UN, is to commit treason via what I already mentioned, and to commit treason by establishing contract with a foreign power to enforce this infringement on the people of the US. For any authority in the US to ignore this is also treason. All offices of authority hold the same oath to protect the constitution. And it is the duty of Americans to insure by what ever means are necessary that the constitution remains the supreme law of the land, else you should by ashamed to call yourselves American!

I agree, everyone should be removed right down to Clinton. She is a joke and so is OBAMA. We are on the fast track to socialism and we have so many people on the dole that would not work if they were offered a job and this is what the government wants. They can take over sections of the nation at a time. The first will be the welfare receipents, then the younger generation because they know nothing anyway and the schools are not preparing them for greatness just low class. I never thought I would live to see Russia and Germany free and the USA become a socialist nation. There is already a movement in the US where these small towns get riot funding, they are breaking into the wrong houses shooting peoples dogs and scared one woman so, she had a heart attack. Its coming people just wait and we will be no more.
