Ann Coulter is no shrinking violet when it comes to lashing out at anyone with a liberal point of view. She doesn’t merely disagree; she follows Michael Savage down the rabbit hole claiming that anyone who disagrees with her isn’t just wrong but mentally ill. So it comes as some surprise that she considers “birthers” extreme right wing activists so enraged by the election of an African-American that he must be foreign born. The issue has even been promoted by Lou Dobbs on CNN who took a moment away from bashing immigrants to consider the possibility that a conspiracy is afoot. It will be telling to see how the Coulter response is treated considering her popularity among the right wing media elite.
According to an online poll on the primary Birther site WorldNetDaily, 53% agree with the statement: “I usually agree with Coulter, but she is dead wrong on this issue. There are too many unanswered questions” 35% say “I'm stunned by Coulter's opinion. She's the last person I thought would take Obama's side”

Ron, nice job of poisoning the well, conflating Coulter's negative take with your own racial definition of birther. Smooth. Do you think she believes that's the birther motive force, or do you just not care who gets confused? What's that you say? No other possible explanation than race? Sure. I guess that's why McCain's birth status had to be checked out during the campaign too. That thing about caring about the Constitution is just a thin disguise of course, because we know that nobody could possibly really care whether the Constitution is honored in the selection of our president. Those rules about being "natural born citizen?" Too complicated and technical. It's gotta be easy or it won't sell. Hmm, wonder if that's why Coulter is throwing the birthers under her bus - she knows how hard it is to communicate with the left in the first place, and she doesn't want a complicated legal discussion impeding the soon demise of Obamacare. Hey Church Lady - one more thing. If you read his birth certificate from right to left it clearly states that "Paul is dead". Surprised you missed that.
Are you sure it isn't just because Obama hasn't yet proved he's a natural born citizen? It's not really a conspiracy as to why this is getting attention. The only thing that has been presented has been a Certificate of Live Birth from Hawaii, which one was able to obtain much like one could obtain a driver's license. Birth in the U.S.A. wasn't a prerequisite for that document. It could also have been obtained by naturalized citizens who needed it for the purpose of records, like a SSN.
There's a reason a lot of people are upset about this. If proven that he isn't a natural born citizen, he could be convicted of numerous counts of fraud, among other charges. Do you think Obama would exempt you from such charges?
I don't know why this is an issue. The president does not need to provide proof of anything...the fact that he was allowed to run should be all the proof necessary, since he had to provide all of that information to the State Department before he could be allowed to run. The fringe dwellers cannot accept that we now have an African American president. The fact that tv talk shows continue to give air time to the wingnuts who spread this as they foam at the mouth are keeping this alive by treating it as "news". Is there no real journalism anywhere out there???
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" - 14th Amendment - Obama was probably born in Hawaii, to be president one must be a Natural Born Citizen, which according to case law means born in the United States by parents who are BOTH US Citizens. Obama's father was a British Subject thus conferring British Citizenship on his son and making him also subject British law at birth. Obama's own admissions supports this. What Coulter/BHO supporters/MSM claim the birthers do not believe Obama is a citizen: not true. They insist that he is NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, and not eligible to be President. Courts have thrown out eligibility cases, not because the claims were bogus, but they say citizens have no standing to challenge a candidate. Fact: the Republican and Democratic establishment chooses who runs. If an unacceptable man runs the MSM ruins him. How did Obama make it? Both establishments & MSM wanted him and McCain as candidates.
