Once again, the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness is hosting Appetite for Awareness: A Gluten Free Cooking Spree. This year, this lively event is being held at the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal at the Naval Yard on Sunday, October 24, from 2 - 6 pm. Tickets will be available at the door: $75 for adults; $35 for students; $25 for children; and $150 for a family of four.
There will be a Children's Pavilion featuring interactive activities for the whole family and samples from local family-friendly restaurants.
Author Silvia Nardone will be signing her new book, "Cooking for Isaiah," and demonstrating easy gluten-free delights.
Watch your favorite doctors and Philly's top chefs pair up in a cooking contest!
Stroll the aisles and sample all kinds of GF goodies. Taste new or hard-to-get products.
Enjoy the game on the big screen in the gluten free Beer Garden. (Yes, I said beer!)
These local restaurants will be on hand, tempting us with delicious gluten free fare:
- Amis
- Bar Ferdinand
