Have you noticed CUPCAKES everywhere these days?  How can you miss them?!  They're featured on television, have stores dedicated to them and are more popular and creative than ever.  Today's cupcake flavors seem endless and one is never far away in Orange County -- Cupcakes are in your kitchen with what's generally on hand or easily found at a specialty bakery or supermarket near you. 

Cupcake Specialists (aka bakers, bloggers and connoisseurs) are all abound and just steps or clicks away from cupcakes in the OC.  Thousands of cupcakes are being made each day by enthusiastic home cooks and professional bakers for competitions, parties, bakeries, fundraisers and more, and are quickly being consumed by the public, or they're out winning competitions, raising money, or being reported about by bloggers, television hosts and word of mouth.  Right now, cupcakes are 'Stars' and hopefully here to stay, although some Orange County cupcake shops have already become a 'where are they now' story.  Aside from that, others thrive.
