Terror threats appear to be on the rise as FEMA has rushed a $1 Billion order of dehydrated food in the event of attacks on domestic targets in the US.
This is also coming on the heels of one of the largest terror drills performed by the US Navy on American soil, as Operation Solid Curtain is taking place this week.
In an article Tuesday from the Beaufort Observer, many of the largest suppliers of dehydrated foods in the country are dropping their distributors and customers to dedicate their resources to supplying a billion dollar FEMA request and purchase.
One of the nation's largest suppliers of dehydrated food has cut loose 99% of their dealers and distributors. And it's not because of the poor economy. It's because this particular industry leader can no longer supply their regular distribution channels. Why not? Because they're using every bit of manufacturing capacity they have to fulfill massive new government contracts. Look, the government has always been a customer of the industry to some extent. But according to our sources, this latest development doesn't represent simply a change of vendor on the government's part. It's a whole new magnitude of business.
And that's not all.
Apparently, even though they've cut off their regular consumer markets, the industry leader I've just mentioned still can't produce enough survival food to meet the government's vast requirements. How do we know? Earlier this month, FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) put out a Request for Proposal, or RFP, for even more dehydrated food. The RFP called for a 10-day supply of meals - for 14 million people. That's 420 million meals. Typically, FEMA maintains a stockpile of about 6 million meals. Why the sudden need to increase the stockpile by 420 million more? (And that's in addition to whatever our aforementioned industry leader is supplying.) It almost seems like they're trying to stock a modern day "Noah's Ark," doesn't it?
Single functions or events such as FEMA requesting a purchase of survival food might not stand out as peculiar when it is their responsibility to ensure they are mission ready for unforseen events in the US, but couple this with other pieces of the puzzle, such as the Navy drill of Solid Curtain, which is intended for:
...nationwide "drill" involving all military, and it's a drill based on a severe terrorist attack.
and the public had best be aware of something major potentially occurring on our soil in the near future. Global events across the world such as the revolutions and protests, the rising spike in oil, the falling dollar, food shortages, and unrest in Wisconsin and Ohio, are bringing us to the point where crisis may take place, whether from domestic or foreign sources.
Terror alerts have been raised by FEMA in the past month, and this new special order of dehydrated food, at the magnitude of $1 Billion dollars in taxpayer money, should be a call for everyone to prepare on your own for any potential crisis.

Hyperbole and a hodgepodge of twisted info here, folks. I am a dealer of the food company referred to in the article. The facts of the matter have been public knowledge for many months.
And to be clear--it is 92% of the retail dealer network that was suspended a while back to help the company get a handle on record orders flowing through until production capacity can be increased later this year.
The government has nothing to do with the panic buying going on in the food storage industry. It is all about the civilian consumer buyers. For the last 6 months, demand has been through the roof--unprecedented. That's a story to explore.
Why try to put it on the government? They have their regular business with food storage companies. How do you think the military stays well supplied? But they have not stepped up their demand recently.
As for the mentioned request for bids--that is for MREs--not dehydrated or freeze-dried foods. That's a different animal.

Though it is clear FEMA is provides strong reasons to be concerned, panic will find it's own demon and Americans are experts at blaming.
Panic purchasing is predominantly by religiously inclined people who believe in end of the world scenarios to demarcate the subgroup responsible for the blaming and this activity. Fear begets fear.

I agree Paranoia can be a destructive force. But caution can prepare you. Most people will spend thousands of dollars in insurance a year, but balk at a couple hundred dollars for food and water. In my 41 years of existence I've never stocked up food and water. As of 3 months ago, I have a 6 month supply. With everything going on recently, it seems foolish to me to not have extra food and water. If nothing happens, that's fine with me. But I know if it does, I'm some what prepared, so it's one less thing I have to worry about.
If you arent prepared then you have NO EXCUSE to complain. Do NOT wait until the last moment,otherwise you'll be just like any other CLOWN that is running around looking for food. BE PROACTIVE! Learn how to grow your own vegetables (if you can).. make your own bread, butter etc. Get a vacuum sealer and get bulk foods including flour (Both types, All purpose & Bread), Sugar and tons of different kinds of Beans (huge bags).. and 50lb bags of rice. If you can do that.. you'll be fine for about 6 months to a year (depending how much you store). Learn how to do things! Dont think that because you have GUNS you can TAKE what you need... you try that shit with me and you'll be buried on my property somewhere afterward. DONT BE AN IDIOT... BE PREPARED!

IT is difficult to know if this food order by FEMA is anything out of the ordinary for an exercise of this level. The food manufacturers' main customer is the military/government, so they are going to first serve their main customers, and that includes what information they give out on the orders.
Everything is planned and coordinated years in advance including operations meant to "go live" and other kinds of false flag events. Now is a time of major chessboard moves on the part of the "brotherhood of darkness" including what is happening in the Middle East, so it stands to reason that there may be some "events" in store for and in USA in line with these major moves.
Suggest going to Costco for some decent storable foods. Prices are rising daily these days so save money by going to today rather than tomorrow. I was there yesterday and bought a fairly large supply of storable food. Shelf like on most things is about a year and half so it is not technically like MREs and Mountain House but it is pretty good and very available.
Best to buy foods that have as few fillers and preservatives and dyes as possible. Stick to low number of ingredients in items you buy. Set up good expiration date rotating system in your shelf storage system.
Fresh food - remember sprouts can be a good thing when you do not have land or other problems. Can buy mung beans at any health food store and sprout those.

This is a request for proposal. An RFP does NOT equate to a purchase, it is a request for vendors to produce a quote and detail their capacity to provide that product or service.
