I just became aware of an article in Psychology Today-
Who is the Most Violent Person in Your Family?
What you don't know can harm your child.

"...there is far more sibling abuse going on than parents know"
Of course, this article lit a fire under me. This is STILL HAPPENING in my family, even today.
I shot off two HOT replies in the COMMENTS section <--(READ THIS if you are curious about what and WHO made me this PERMANENTLY MAD)
The way CPS waltzes into a family on behalf of the TROUBLE-MAKER is absolutely INSANE.
I just got a phone call yesterday from one of our OLD friends, a black woman in the midwest, who is a highly successful, well-paid professional living in a gated community- whose now 12-year-old stole a coat from her school friend. The mother made the child give the coat back and apologize to her friend. For revenge, the 12-year-old (the FIRST THING a kid thinks of) called CPS and said she was being starved. The cops and CPS came. Our associate discussed the situation with them and let them talk to the child. The cops agreed that the mother had acted appropriately and the cops scolded the child. (By the way, her refrigerator and pantry was well stocked, and her apartment was spotless).
The CPS worker had a tantrum and is following through on making mother's life a LIVING HELL. The moron CPS worker doesn't think a Christian black woman can possibly be a successful professional.
CPS assures kids that it's CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY in foster care, and they can DO ANYTHING THEY WANT.
I have searched the internet time and time again trying to find that quote from either Lenin or Stalin along the line of "When you take over a village, find the stupidest, meanest man in town and PUT HIM IN CHARGE". Actually, I remember the quote as "meanest, stupidest SOB in town". Yeah. that pretty much sums up politics in general.
I really did read that quote somewhere, many years ago. Cannot find it or anything similar. If Lenin or Stalin never said it, then quote me as the source. I will claim it.
Nonetheless, that's EXACTLY what CPS does. And that is because the CPS workers themselves are "meanest, stupidest SOBs in town".
And really- have you ever talked with a Mental Illness Clinician who had an ounce of sense? I have run into a couple. But they couldn't help much, because their opinion was in the "minority" of the "consensus". See the Delphi Technique <--(I mean REALLY READ this)
My life's goal is to get CPS sued for TRILLION$ for their insane War on Families, and a bunch of CPS agents and their colluding contractors in PRISON where they belong.

It would be interesting to observe a CPS worker try to manage a class full of children.
Course it would be informative for any parent to try to manage a class loaded with children and try to TEACH THEM SOMETHING.
Rewarding bad behavior never works. Most 12 year olds know when they've done wrong, you can see the faint grin on their faces.
At least the police understand. Why can't caseworkers see that most parents want what's best for their kids, even it means a temporary consequence.
Where are the horrible cases we hear about with CPS? Why does a worker have time to interfere with a 12 year old? Why would a worker possibly circumvent the parent's punishment?
What are these workers doing with their time? Looking to create trouble, and dissention within families?
Leonard,
Hear you loud & clear.
Seems that they ALL rode the short bus huh?!?
