Every spiritual tradition has a full body meditation. There is nothing new about this, so this punk should not be taking credit for the exercise. Chi Gong, Rosicrucians, Carlos Castanda, the development circle I used to attend, even NLP, teach a full body meditation. They are all designed to bring chi or universal energy into the body. Then he is using that energy to energise an intent.. You can use it for any intent, positive, negative and neutral - it's just energy that can be directed any way you want. He just added the intent of raising consciousness.
How enlightened and loving is this one calling a young and loving man a 'punk'. Oh Lordy, gimme a break. You might know lot about meditation, mate, but very little of equality of every soul and of un-conditional love. I know whom I would listen to more in this case the 'punkett' whom wrote the reply or this one freely reminding us of good things we can do for ourselves. Pull your own head in and maybe meditate more on the good things in the Universe.
well said Ulpu. The HEART is the true center of our being, the head gets in the way and often thinks it is the source of all it observes, the ego is even a part of it but not all. When we bring our consciousness down to the heart from the head, and start living from the heart as was also described by all spiritual traditions. This oneness perspective sees all others as one divine. It comes from the heart, and not the brain.
Anonymous....I agree with other comments. Why call Joe a punk? He doesn't claim to have originated this exercise or to be a high master or anything else? He merely offers a tried-and-true energetic visualization for those of us who appreciate having a voice direct us through it.
I find Joe's wording to be pretty good, as he has learned how to "penetrate deeply" also get out of the way. keeping it purposefully simple. I notice on this one (#2) that he has "warmed" the light. I had made a comment after listening to #1-video several times that I find the BRIGHT white-white light too harsh on the body (and I have been taught this, too). I prefer to use a warm golden-flecked light, but one could just call it the "highest light of Unconditional Love" and not specify a color and let each person get what they get.
Either way, I find it easier to stay focused, "relax and allow" when I can let someone else's voice guide the general direction and not have my "logical" mind trying to stay alert to "control" the directionl So I appreciate these videos and I enjoy them. Thank you, Joe & Alfred!
So, CHILL mate! You may have learned something from all of your studies but you clearly didn't learn the most important lesson -- gratitude, appreciation and allowing for each person to offer their gifts freely. You are free to take or not take. Why do you feel a need to make him "wrong?"
Oh well, keep up your studies. You obviously missed the REAL learning...which is to let go of judgment. Discernment is a whole 'nuther thing and you could have "discerned" that this particular exercise was not for you without having to make it so obvious to rest of us that you are "SO special" by pointing out to others that you don't deem Joe's gift worthy...
