These include animal species of the:
(1) First category - Animals that presently exist on Earth. The first category consists of animals that resemble species that presently live on Earth. This category includes elephants, platypuses, horses, cows, frogs, turtles, snakes, slugs, and snails;
(2) Second category - Hybrids of living Earth species. The second category is those animals that combine elements of species that inhabit Earth at this time in Earth's biological history and that from our perspective would be viewed as hybrids of living animal species. This category is exemplified by one species on Mars that combines the bodily shape of an octopus with the face of a lion or a dog;
(3) Third category - Extinct Earth species. The third category includes those animals that resemble dinosaur and reptile species that are extinct on Earth. In this category, we can place the plesiosaur, which has been proposed as a solution to the Loch Ness, Lake Champlain, and Lake Okanogan mysteries. Plesiosaurus, a reptile species, is quite common on Mars, but did not survive the K-T extinction on Earth. The plesiosaurs on Mars resemble the dinosaur species brachiosaurus or a long-necked tortoise;
(4) Fourth category - Animals that have never existed on Earth. The fourth category encompasses those animals that are unlike anything that has ever lived on planet Earth. Into this category, we can place the human-lizard hybrids seen resting on the ground, as if cold-blooded and fairly immobile by nature. How reptilian species appear to predominate on Mars. Part IV: Martian structures; NASA's cover-up of life on Mars

How the evidence of built structures on Mars found in NASA PIA10214 is so strong that it proves that Mars is – or once was – inhabited by beings capable of building things.
How some of the best evidence for built structures is lying within plain sight, on the right side of the cliff directly in front of Spirit. There, laid out like a child's toys, are The Sarcophagus of a King, an aqueduct shaped like a Water Sprite, and the scaffolding of a long-ago abandoned building crafted to resemble The Face of a Bull.
How the sarcophagus resembles a tin soldier and has the head and body of a king in the Egyptian style. We can readily see the king's eye, ear, and beard. Amazingly, his thin neck remains intact. The king is wearing a hat identical to the banked, cylindrical type worn by the Great Royal Wife of the Sun King Pharaoh Akhenaton, Queen Nefertiti, as depicted in the iconic bust of her discovered by Ludwig Borchardt at Amarna, Egypt in 1912.
How, as with the sarcophagus, an Egyptian hat sits atop one of the stone heads on Tsiolkovski Ridge and The Queen at the Outcropping, whose "Gray" face and mitered hat blend into the terrain because they were carved from the same amber-colored rock. Curiously, the statues on the ridge and the sarcophagus have been placed true north, which suggests that the entire area might once have served as a funereal site.
Metaphorically, they also point to Egypt and the historical linkage between Ancient Egypt and Ancient Mars.
How cat statues on Mars also reveal this connection to Ancient Egypt, where cats were commonplace in statuary and worshiped during the reign of the Pharaohs.
How NASA, which was charged in the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 with exploring space on behalf of humankind and informing all humanity of its discoveries, is now engaged in a cover-up of the fact that life exists on Mars.
How NASA is engaged in a strategy of disinformation, in which it periodically releases news of small, incremental discoveries that it is making on Mars, such as the existence of ice or methane, while concealing the fact that evidence that life exists on Mars is to be found in the photographs of the Red Planet taken by Spirit.

About award-winning discoverer Andrew D. Basiago
The discoverer of life on Mars, Andrew D. Basiago, 47, is an American trial lawyer, writer, and environmental scholar. He was born on September 18, 1961 in Morristown, New Jersey, the youngest of five children, and grew up in New Jersey and California. Andy was one of the “whiz kids” who served from 1969 to 1972 in DARPA’s time-space exploration program, Project Pegasus.
A past member of Mensa, the high IQ society, he holds five degrees, including a BA in History from UCLA and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. While an undergraduate at UCLA, Andy became a journalist and a protégé of editor Norman Cousins of the Saturday Review, who once compared him to Robert Hutchins and nominated him to be the Editor of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. He was inspired by a meeting with architect Buckminster Fuller in 1981 to pursue a career in environmental policy. After their meeting, Fuller wrote: “Andrew Basiago’s integrity augurs well for humanity’s continuance in (the) Universe.”
Andy began his career writing articles about the urban environment for Los Angeles newspapers, national periodicals, and the Cousteau Society magazine Calypso Log. He studied environmental law at Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and then went on to design nature-friendly urban plans for cities in California and study environmental law and policy with Professor Malcolm Grant at Cambridge. His papers about the theory and practice of urban sustainability have been published in international, peer-reviewed journals in Australia, Britain, and the United States, cited widely, and placed in the environmental policy collections of major university libraries.
Andy was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 1996. A lawyer in private practice, he represents and collaborates with writers and filmmakers in the development of books, TV shows, and feature films with planetary and interplanetary themes. Recently, he edited several major works related to humanity’s contact with extraterrestrial life. whats the difference between A.D.B. discovering Mars Anomalies and the dozens of people before him, besides the fact that he appeared on Exopolitics Radio? What im asking, is what in your iew makes him unique and stand out from others such as mike Bara, Richard Hoagland, Dr. Tom Van Flandern and the others? I believe there are anomalies on Mars but you didn't think it was weird when Basiago started talking about blurry pictures being "pregnant women standing next to oddly shaped buildings which show the Martians have a sense of humor and levity"? With that said, yes there are evidence of anomalies on Mars that the public should be informed on.
My claim of being the discoverer of life on Mars is based on my discovery of the first dispositive evidence of life on Mars that I found in NASA photograph PIA10214 and then described, explained and evaluated in my paper entitled The Discovery of Life on Mars.
The Discovery of Life on Mars is the first work in natural history to show photographs of life forms, including different human and animal species, on Mars, supported by text containing a substantial analysis of the photographs. In this sense, it is the first work to prove that life exists beyond Earth and that we live in an inhabited Universe.
No measure of personal attack or factual distortion by anonymous bloggers (utilizing, in this example, a contrived quotation) can diminish the persuasive argument that I make in my paper that Mars is an inhabited planet. History will record that my paper is full of evidence establishing that which it asserts.
In support of my claim of original discovery, however, I wish to cite several specific elements of the paper, to include the fact that the photographic detail that I use to illustrate the humanoid being in The Rock Enclosure on Tsiolkovski Ridge is the first photograph of a humanoid being situated on another planet in the Cosmos ever to be published on Earth, and the fact that the plesiosaurs that I discovered in PIA10214 are the first animal species ever to be identified beyond the confines of the Earth.
I view my paper as the fulfillment of an arc of discovery that began with Schiaparelli's "canali" on Mars, and that we can trace forward, through Lowell and Tesla, to include the contributions of many contemporary Mars anomalists. I do not claim to be the first person to have speculated that Mars is an inhabited planet (as Lowell was), nor to have identified The Face on Mars at Cydonia and other anomalies as possible evidence that life once existed on Mars (as Hoagland, Bara, and others have), nor to have argued that some anomalies on Mars might be life forms such as trees (as Van Flanderen has). Rather, I am claiming discovery of life on Mars on the basis that my paper is the first work in science or literature to demonstrably prove that Mars is inhabited. In other words, I was the individual to have proved the truth of the proposition that life exists on Mars.
I consider the experience that I have had, to be present at the moment of contact, and to behold, with the eyes of an Earthling, for the first time, life beyond our planet, to be a cosmic privilege, and therefore I will do my utmost to lead the debate about the discovery of life on Mars in positive directions that will promote the well-being of the inhabitants of both Earth and Mars.
In the final analysis, a new world has opened up to us, one in which we must put aside our petty differences and face the fact that the inhabitants of Earth now have, as never before, the opportunity and the responsibility to interact with another inhabited planet.
This is the first major challenge of cosmic citizenship that humanity must face as we begin our exploration of the Universe, and I think it is a challenge that we can and will overcome with integrity, intelligence and imagination. Onward and upward to the stars!
Honestly, I need no further information to conclude we are one of many species of intelligent beings, or that these beings do visit Earth in craft with capabilities beyond anything we have.
And, UFO debunkers do make fools of themselves.
But, will all due respect to Mr. Basiago, his claims are the work of a fanciful mind. Take the "seated female," and study it. It's no carving. It's an eroded rock, a layered rock, and the "carving" isn't a carving at all, but shadows cast by the rock upon itself.
Mr. Basiago, you do no service to humanity coming to accept the reality of other beings, other cultures not of this planet.

I agree there are anomalies on the planet mars that should be further investigated. And totally agree that the public should be into the investigation of mars and help gather and input information. Threw history its been shown alot of good things come from amature investigative work and interest. But come on maybe 1 picture on there can be be something like humanoid and maybe a few other structures but his discriptions are nothing more then fantasy. Alot of them are nothing more then rocks some even small pebbles close up and he talks about animals, women, men, and Disney world on mars. Theres one picture that gives him away big time. You can tell its nothing more then the ground close up (more then likely the spirit rover taking soil samples of some sort) with pebbles in the mix and he talks about it being a meeting of all sorts of humanoids with animals and houses. Thats a dead give away this man lives in a fantasy world or he is so despret to discover something he is imagening things. Sorry but I believe in hard scientific evidence. Give me something conclusive. I will say this the one picture of what looks like a walking humanoid is very interesting and deserves further investigation but definitly not but this guy. Now, for the topic, we will find out that there is still life on mars, however, living under the surface. We will also find out there a family from earth, asked, and was granted the ability to go live there, again in an artificial environment.
We see the photo's of Mars and we see them with our very limited eyes, we see the rocks, the dirt. But the vast amount of vegetation that we cannot see does exist, just at a vibration above what our eyes are able to see.
So,how much acid do I take until I see all the wonderous figures in the images spoken about in the .pdf ?? LOL
Other then one photo that does have a some what human shape, I see nothing that even comes close to what this guys claims are in the photo. This has to be a bad joke if this is the #1 UFO story of 2008. This is the type of story that makes the UFO community look like a bunch of nuts to everyone else.
I have examined that Mars photo under extreme magnification using every hi-tech photo analysis tool available. (Hope my boss doesn't read this) There is nothing in that photo that is even remotely newsworthy. Piles of blurry rocks ! Perhaps the somewhat odd seated female looking figure on the left side is of some passing interest as a neat rock formation. But the rest of Andrew D. Basiago's identified figures are a joke. Makes me want to drop my Mensa membership. I thought we had a better screening process.
Ok, A.D.B, i understand now what your claim of difference is from the others - first to publish life on mars. Fine, the quote was paraphrased, but anyone can go to exopolitics radio achieves and hear you did say that you saw very very specific things in super blurry images, things like buildings that had a sense of levity, a woman who you think may be pregnant and others with her.
BTW, why do you think any of these "people" got close to the rover and picked it up or examined it?? and why is it these buildings and people look like a barren desert of rocks when you dont zoom way in to blurry proportions? You dont think anyone in a society would notice the rover and pick it up?
This is about an as in-your-face hoax as it is possible to perpetrate. But what on earth is the point of it? Does the author (or maybe authors) simply have way too much time on his hands, or is there some kind of serious hidden agenda here?
I have now done a fair amount of research into the names behind these hoaxes (one doesn't know for sure if the names represent real people or not), and yet I still haven't found an answer to these questions. Compared to the actual subject of UFOlogy, however, this is a rather boringly inconsequential distraction, so maybe I don't care all that much.

Hear Hear to the last comment. J.P. Skipper has been trawling thru photographs and releasing some of these finds on his site www.marsanomalyresearchpage.com for around ten years now, yet after reading several reports here at MARS, I have yet to see Skip's name mentioned once. I think what is more important is disseminating this important news out to the people, not making self-aggrandising announcements about being first to do this or that. This kind of attitude is a facet of a matierialistic, primitive humanity. Remember we are being watched. What we say & do is how we will be received by those humanities whom make up the watchers, when it becomes time for official first-contact scenarios. Also I believe that much of this info is being put out there by Nasa for intelligent people like Skip to find. Begs the question. Who is trying to maintain control of info that is leaking? The average recorded temperature on Mars is -63° C (-81° F) with a maximum temperature of 20° C (68° F) and a minimum of -140° C (-220° F). Even if we assume the Mr. Basiago arrived when the temperature was at its peak, his claim that the “breathable” air was “hot” does not ring true.
The mean daily barometric pressure observed by Viking Lander 1 was as low as 6.8 millibars; at other times of the year it was as high as 9.0 millibars. The pressures at the Viking Lander 2 site were 7

Conclusion: Andrew D. Basiago is lying when he says that he was teleported to the surface of mars.

As a leading image analyst who has actually read your pdf (and there's time I won't be getting back), I'll tell you this:
Your claims about this Mars image are, in a word, laughable.
But you know what's sad? Even an untrained eye would come to the same conclusion. It's as obvious as the sun in the sky.
Anyone buying into your stories deserves them, in all their ludicrous splendor. Don't quit your day job.

hi id like to say that this is a really good web site.i can relate to alot on here.as i have some analylictic knowledge of other life forms and there past and present existance.

While I do agree with the rest that the evidence of 'animals, birds, reptiles, women with children' in the pdf is more of the author's imagination, I do see the figures of two humanoids on the left side in that NASA photo. With or without 1000% zoom. I think Mr. Basiago should have stopped there. It would make the arguments more plausible.

This does not make sense. Atmospheric pressure and composition at current stage would only allow Plants, not oxygene breathing creatures.
The 1 statue is indeed triggering our minds to "recognise" a possible "threat" just as we seem to recognise faces smiling/angry...
I found it interesting to read this because it's an interesting view into how ultra "intelligent" minds DOES try to find patterns etc ;-) Just as my own. I am just missing a common sense to all this.
IF life did exist on Mars 1.5million years ago then I think all structures would be pulverised by now though.

if the guy has been to mars via teleportation, then why does he have to rely on recent nasa photos to prove theres life there?? wouldn't he have seen it when he visited there??
and the teleportation story doesn't make sense either, in order to teleport there an exisiting teleport receptacle would have to already be on mars to receive them, and how would it have gotten there?

I wish to believe in our friendly neighbors..I really do..but We have around the globe a lot of scientific tools to being able to detect if a world is life capable at this time..And Mars is not one of them. It could have been capable to sustain life billions of years ago..but now..is not. Let's keep this real. Let's keep this serious please.
