Tomorrow, nearly 250,000 pages from the Reagan administration will be released for the first time. The release resulted from an April 9 letter to the National Archives and Records Administration from President Obama’s legal Counsel, Gregory Craig. The letter ordered the release of the records which had earlier been held up by the Bush administration. President Bush never decided if he should assert ‘executive privilege’ effectively preventing their release. In contrast, President Obama decided not to exert executive privilege in the 30 day period set by his January 21 Executive Order on presidential records (EO 13489).According to Politico, the pages to be released contain information on Reagan’s “presidential briefing papers, speechwriting research materials and declassified foreign policy records.” The papers are important since President Reagan often included references to extraterrestrial life in his speeches. These extraterrestrial references eventually became part of a tug of war between President Reagan who tried to include them in speeches, and staffers who tried to exclude them. Monday’s release of further Reagan presidential records may shed light on President Reagan’s fixation on the reality of extraterrestrial life, and why he was convinced this could unite the world. More intriguingly, they may yield clues into whether he received a secret briefing on UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
During his presidency, Ronald Reagan made numerous speeches referring to the existence of extraterrestrial life and how this could unify the world. In a November 1985 Summit Meeting in Geneva with the Soviet Union’s Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev, Reagan said the following according to the U.S. State Department:
Reagan said that while the General Secretary was speaking, he had been thinking of various problems being discussed at the talks. He said that previous to the General Secretary’s remarks, he had been telling Foreign Minister Shevardnadze (who was sitting to the President’s right) that if the people of the world were to find out that there was some alien life form that was going to attack the Earth approaching on Halley’s Comet, then that knowledge would unite all the peoples of the world.
According to UFO and the Presidents researcher Grant Cameron, there was no record of this extraterrestrial comment in the speech writers’ files, and he concluded Reagan was an ad-libbing.
Later in December 1985, Reagan spoke at Falston High School and said:
I couldn’t help but - when you stop to think that we’re all God’s children, wherever we live in the world, I couldn’t help but say to him (Gorbachev) just how easy his task and mine might be if suddenly there was a threat to this world from some other species from another planet outside in the universe. We’d forget all the little local differences that we have between our countries and we would find out once and for all that we really are all human beings here on this Earth together.
Again, Cameron found no record of the extraterrestrial remark in speechwriter files and concluded Reagan was ad-libbing.
The most famous alien comment by Reagan was on September 21, 1987 before the United Nations General Assembly:
In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside of this world. And yet I ask - is not an alien force already among us? "
Cameron notes that Reagan succeeded in having these comments re-installed into his speech after they had been deleted by staffers.
Reagan’s views about extraterrestrial life were not dismissed by the Kremlin. Gorbachev did eventually respond in a serious way to Reagan’s scenario of an extraterrestrial invasion. In February 1997, Gorbachev responded to Reagan’s comments at their 1985 Geneva Summit.
At our meeting in Geneva, the U.S. President said that if the earth faced an invasion by extraterrestrials, the United states and the Soviet Union would join forces to repel such an invasion. I shall not dispute the hypothesis, although I think it’s early yet to worry about such an intrusion.
Also in May 1990, after Reagan had left office, Gorbachev said: "The phenomenon of UFOs does exist and it must be treated seriously."
The numerous references to extraterrestrials in Reagan’s speeches and the international dialogue this created raise many serious questions. The Reagan administration took great care to vet his speeches in accord to strict guidelines. Cameron notes that despite “these strict guidelines many UFO references were still found in Reagan speeches and comments. The question is why they were there.” .
A final question to consider is whether President Reagan received a classified briefing on extraterrestrial life. According to an alleged briefing document, Reagan was given an official briefing between March 6-8, 1981 by various national security officials that was highly classified. The Reagan Presidential briefing document is yet to be substantiated and has been widely dismissed by most UFO researchers. The alleged briefing document, however, does raise the possibility that Reagan was given a briefing, and some of what is in the document is based on fact. Monday’s release of additional presidential files will help resolve unanswered questions about Reagan’s views concerning extraterrestrial life, and why these appeared so frequently in his speeches. If President Reagan was indeed secretly briefed about extraterrestrials, then clues may be revealed about the officials involved and what he was told.

Reagan died in 2004.
I was directly involved with this. Cap Weinberger Jr has details. Story is in my book Destiny Matrix. Bill Birnes also knows about it.
In Shirley Maclains book "Sage-ing while Age-ing" she relates the story told to her by someone at the party that the Reagans attended back in the 60's. In short Ronald and Nancy both seen a hugh UFO while driving to the party and supposedly white as sheets when they arrived.
I think that Dr. Salla needs a vacation. Yes, because a few days ago he was excommunicating those who "demonize" the good ETs, also called Aliens.
Now, he writes about Ronald Reagan fearing some extraterrestrial invasion, and talking about this with Gorbachev.
What credit can we give to this new twisting of contemporary history?

But something is wrong here. Reagan died in 2004.
Talking about dead presidents, please remember that Dr. Salla previously rewrote contemporary history and disclosed the meeting between President Eisenhower and extraterrestrial visitors.

The problem with the aliens, it's all of them who are present on earth are not good in my opinion, in the way they act(secret basement, abductions, genetic manipulation...).

Reagan were right, the ET's are a serious problem, and we must talk about it, if they were to attack us, the world will unite for sure, and they can't allow that because it's not in their best interest.

Not sure what you mean about twisting contemporary history. The article simply points out what President Reagan said and his strained relationship with his speech writers over the ET issue. As for the UFO briefing, it seems there is factual basis to it but more evidence is needed still.

Ronald Reagan was informed on aliens by Lt Col P J Corso too. Lt Col P J Corso wrote the book "The day after Roswell". There are movies on YouTube where a person, I believe it is his son, declares that Corso Sr was asked by Reagan to visit him and inform him on aliens.

More than One years ago I made a great discovery that AFOs live in our Earth's atmosphere at altittude 20-40 miles. This discovery is ten steps ahead than the recognition of UFOs existence. For this reason this fact rejected not only by goverments but by Ufologist as well, including MUFON organization. It's investigator who took my case asked me to send her photos of AFOs that I described in my article. I said I don't have ones, because it is impossible to do that according to "UFO Spotting & Recording Tips
Photographing UFOS" site (see my article). Instead of photos I offered her to come to my place or I will come to her place that is 60-70 miles from her house, and show her their existence. She rejected this offer on the base that she looked at the night sky and did not see anything close that described in my article. I tried to explain her that the great discoveries are made by scientists not by ordinary people. For example for hundreds years people thought that the Earth is the center of universe and sun revolves around the Earth, because people see every day Sun rise and Sun set and it tooks a great mind of Kopernik, to say people that they are wrong. She brought another arguments to prove that I am wrong by saing : "It is my belief that what you are actually seeing is what we call and "Aberration of light" where by you stare at "light" or "object" like a star in the sky and after a while it appears that is is moving. I have seen this many, many times while looking up at the sky, even in the daylight. When you do see this in the day, it usually is the refraction of light from a planet which at times can be visible in the daylight hours if the opportunity permits."
I agree that "Aberration of light" exists but there are events (like in my case) that looks like "Aberration of light" but in reality they are completley different. I see the movement not one star but the cluster of stars (signal lights) that forms the circle (the contour of UFO). What is more they can change speed from 0 to 100 mile per second and more. The AFOs even respond to me by going zig-zag if I wave my hand to them etc. The point is that I see intelegent moves of Aliens motherships. Reagan was far from being a crazy old man

Sometimes i wonder how come people can be so blind by not seeing the evidences.
What if the issue was as complex as a dynamics of a divergent group of humans from all over the world ? Now imagine at around 20 completely different Advanced races....all with different agendas, some interested in our welfare some see us as humans would view ants. How does one make blanket statements about them ? I think all we can do is make general statements about humans.
Historically and currently humans are one of the most primitive self destructive species in this area of our galaxy. Sad at best, shameful at worst. They even take pride in practicing one of their most destructive 'weapons' against their own kind...they call is 'religion'. It is used to kill, torture, rape, pillage millions of its own kind worldwide...and the other humans who dont participate, sit back and just observe it all happening. A perfect mixture for a 'dead race' if Ive ever seen one. I dont think many Advanced races are going to shed major tears(nor will its planet) when they are gone.
But let me tell you one thing
Every year there're more and more UFO sightings from all over the world. There various types of ships up there, any kind of shapes
the so called advanced race are hovering over our head, they come then play hide and seek.
