Check out my new favorite group of businesses:

Congrats From Colorado.  Congrats consists of local baby and mom product-based companies -- seventy plus companies - with trendy and unique options for everyone.

This group, Congrats From Colorado, began as the brainstorm of Baby Candy owner, Olivia Omega Logan. She launched Baby Candy (on the Ellen show!) and realized that she needed a community.  Omega Logan wanted the support of other women.  A group to share in her highs and lows, her questions and her a-has. So, ever the entrepreneur, she organized Congrats From Colorado. Congrats to Omega Logan is more like it.   I love the concept.

While seemingly competitive, Congrats gives these companies the launch and community they need. Now, with Congrats gift baskets to celebrities, Congrats companies like Bella B and Ambajam are getting buzz in gossip magazines.

Not just Colorado owned companies, these companies design hot, must have products.   I love Trista Sutter’s diaper bags, the Alpha Buddies tee shirts - fav is S is for Shakespeare - and I just ordered a personalized book from Change Is Strange.   Ambajam makes the softest, most beautiful blankets and the organic onsies featuring world foods from Wonder Toast will make you "ooh" and "aaah."   (And, they're not even paying me to say this!)

“There is a sense of Colorado pride as a parent and a business owner when I started to realize how many wonderful mom and kid products are from Colorado-based businesses,” said Omega Logan. “I have found that parents have a desire to support local companies and organizations if only they are aware of them.”

I'm headed downtown to Celebrate Mother’s Day with the Congrats businesses, Sunday, May 3 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Magnolia Hotel. Come join me!  Not only will we get to shop from all these local, women-owned businesses, I hear they've got door prizes, desserts, martinis and spa treatments, too! http://www.congratsfromcolorado.com/mothersdaysoiree to buy tickets or for more information.
