Wii Sports Resort cover.

The Wii MotionPlus is already making a big splash in Japan. The new accessory for the Nintendo Wii has sold 656,000 units during its first week in that region.

360,000 units of the total are from the Wii Sports Resort bundle, which sold through 84.98% for its first shipment. Furthermore, Nintendo also sold 296,000 individual units of Wii MotionPlus at the same time span. Given the evergreen status of Nintendo products, you can expect the total to rise steadily for months and maybe years to come.
