Yakuza 3 Japanese cover.

It is rare to see a popular Japanese game not being brought over to the west in today’s climate. This is precisely what’s happening with Yakuza Kenzan and Yakuza 3 (known as Ry? ga Gotoku Kenzan! and Ry? ga Gotoku 3 in Japan) on the Playstation 3.

A fan of the series pleaded with Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager of Sony Computer Entertainment America, to bring Yakuza 3 to North America. He responded with the following comment:

“Talk to SEGA! I’d love the opportunity to play Yakuza 3 in English.”

Sega is the developer and publisher of the Yakuza series. Even with numerous pleads from their fans, they still haven’t budge yet. Unfortunately, this doesn’t bold well for two of the best exclusive games on the Playstation 3.
