Hot off the heels of the release of Final Fantasy VII on the North American Playstation Store, Square Enix has released the original Final Fantasy as a PSOne Classic title on the Japanese Playstation Store.

For 600 Yen, you can download Final Fantasy onto your PSP and/or Playstation 3. You will be getting the Playstation remake, which features enhanced visuals, remixed soundtrack and other new content from the original NES title. The Playstation version came bundled with Final Fantasy II in a packaged titled Final Fantasy Origins.

Although no announcements have been made on bringing Final Fantasy to the North American Playstation Store, it seems likely given the huge success of Final Fantasy VII.
