Two years ago, Electronic Arts announced that they will acquire Bioware for hundreds of millions of dollars. So far, the third-party publisher seems quite pleased with their expensive purchase.

During a recent conference call for the fiscal period that just passed, Frank D. Gibeau (President of EA Games Label) showered nothing but praises for the RPG developer saying, “EA has never been a player in RPG’s but now Bioware is set to launch three of the most anticipated games in that genre.”

In regards to the recently launched Dragon Age Origins, he stated: “The review scores are averaging 90 and initial sell through is strong.” He was also quite upbeat with Mass Effect 2: “We expect this one to be rewarded with very high quality scores and benefit from built-in audience appeal.” Finally, Frank D. Gibeau also made a passing mention to the upcoming Bioware-developed MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The President of EA Games Label ended his Bioware report with another big commendation for the developer: “We couldn’t be happier with the vision and commitment to quality at our BioWare Studio. They are simply best in class.”
