We're just moments away from the this season's next to last episode of ABC's Desperate Housewives and then its over to NBC for the final showdown between Joan Rivers and Annie Duke on Celebrity Apprentice.
On tonight's Desperate Housewives episode titled, Marry Me A Little, Marcia Cross' Bree and Teri Hatcher's Susan live up to the show's title when they each get tangled in acts of desperation. Bree, at the urging of her newly hired take-no-prisoners lawyer, Karl (played by Richard Burgi), breaks into her own home in an effort to secure her assets from future ex-hubby, the kleptomaniacal Orson (Kyle McLaughlin). In true Bree fashion, she insists that her fellow cat-burglar wipe his feet as they break into her own home. Karl also happens to be Susan's ex-hubby.
Susan meanwhile, accepts the bogus proposal from Jackson (played by recently returning star Gale Harold), which is more about keeping him from being deported that it is about his feelings for Susan. To further complicate matters, the couple must commit freud to perpetrate their relationship.
Two of the men on Wisteria Lane are also showing their desperation, as Dave (Neal McDonough) begins to unravel at the thought of being found out for his history of evil-doings as a result of the return of Jackson. Felicity Huffman's Lynette tries to remain calm when she discovers how desperate Tom (Doug Savant) is becoming over getting older.
Later on Celebrity Apprentice, lets see if Joan Rivers' contract for doing the show really does include being the winner, or if she just made a pact with The Donald to make it through to the finale.
